Transcription of Will

In the name of God Amen. I Jennet Watt, widow being weak of body, but of sound mind, memory and understanding do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner following. First it is my desire that my body be decently buried at the discretion of my herein named Executors.

Then it is my Will and desire that all of my just debts be first paid out my Estate.

Then I will and bequeath to my son Samuel Lesly Watt one half of my whole estate both real and personal after my debts have been paid. Likewise one feather bed and furniture.

Then I will and bequeath to my two daughters Nancy and Jenny a feather bed and furniture each. Likewise all my wearing apparel to be equally divided between them.

Then I will and bequeath to my two nephews John and Samuel Wat Bowie eight dollars each.

Then it is my will and desire that after that after the foregoing legacies are paid that the remainder of my property be equally divided between my five daughters Rosey Ann Bowie, [[Polly, Elizabeth, Nancy, and Jennet A Watt.

Then it is my desire that my Personal Estate be sold at the discretion of my Executors whenever they may think most to be for the advantage of my Legatees.

Lastly I do constitute and appoint my trusty friends James Wardlaw Esq. and James Kyle and Andrew Bowie Executors of this my Last Will and Testament. Signed Sealed and Pronounced in presence of Robert Wilson Andrew Bowie, Ezekiel Evans, Jr Jennet Watt her mark
