"The Church of St David, Trostrey, Monmouthshire, Wales, is a parish church with its origins in the 14th century. Its founder may have been Geoffrey Marshall, Lord of Trostrey Castle. The church was substantially rebuilt in the 16th century and restored by John Prichard in 1876–1877. It remains an active parish church." "The church is a Grade II* listed building",_Trostrey

Trostrey Excavation Group has been working on the site surrounding the church and hve been taking the history of a deserted village from the 19th century back to the Neolithic (or New Stone Age).
