This page has been accessed 184 times.

These are photographs taken by John Forbes Davenport during his overseas deployment during World War II. The goal of this album is to identify the individuals in these photos, and link the pictures to the appropriate profiles.

Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.

  • Searching for profile names of named individual(s) in each picture.
  • If a profile does not exist, create a new profile for each individual.
  • Properly categorize and sticker the profile to identify the individual as a veteran of World War II.

Currently Identified Individuals

Several soldiers have been identified:

  1. Lt. Col. Robert Cole
  2. Sgt. John Davenport
  3. Cpl. Raymond Stein

Eric, maybe you could add a list of the profiles this page links to. And if possible, a list of all the names you can make out from the crosses in the cemetery photos. I see that you have more information here already than is evident at first glance.

Yes, I've been trying to do that but I'm also still trying to go through the pictures that I have to figure out what might still be good for posting, too.  :) I did start a profile for a guy that I think was one of my grandfather's friends that will killed in a glider crash. I did not post the pictures of the crash but the pictures of the grave and of the person well before they dropped into Europe-proper are on here.

So much data...
