Performers and writers of UK number 1 singles.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_UK_singles_chart_number_ones
This is not a week by week list and lists songs in the order they first reached number one.
To solve the problem of dealing with links/connections to band members without overcrowding the page, I have created a corresponding page Music Groups and Bands which deals with each band member individually. That page may not be as up to date as this. Please feel free to update it with links to existing profiles etc.
Generally, for duos I've tried to deal with them on a single line, but three or more people are treated as a group. It is easier with siblings and spouses because they are either both connected or both not. I could have taken that approach with the Bee Gees but I've given them a group section (maybe someone will want to add in musicians).
The writers lists will probably lag behind for a while while I just get the basic information into the tables. However anyone is free to jump in and add links, build profiles, update connection status etc. I'm not sure how deep down we need to dive - all the musicians on tracks credited to solo artists? Producers? Studio engineers?
