I've been dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, so I didn't get to finish what I had started out doing. The only reason I have internet is by using my phone as a personal hotspot. But I do have power now. Pray for those who have nothing left after the hurricane came through.

We will continue to pray for all those affected by the hurricane.

Hi Pam,

Thank you

One profile I’ll mention that really shows the affects of war was Humphrey David Allison (1842 - 1864) it really is a heart wrenching his story…

He had a nickname of “Dove” and yet in the most horrific of wars…

Per his FindAGrave memorial bio: Humphrey David "Dove" Allison was the youngest of 12 children who left for the War at the age of 20. He served as a Sgt. in the 5th Florida Volunteers, CSA, from Live Oak, Suwannee County, Florida. He was captured at Fort Wilderness, VA, on 6 May 1864 and was imprisioned at Elmira, New York where he died as a P.O.W. of typhoid and pneumonia on 28 Oct 1864. His Allison family in Live Oak never knew when or where he died or where he was buried. He just never returned home from the War. His family only assumed that he had died. His grave was discovered by a genealogist about 1995, over 130 years after he died. Family members have never forgotten him nor let his story die.
