Most of these cleanup tasks will need to be repeated periodically. Please read any descriptions next to each task to make sure you understand what needs to be done.

Category Cleanups

• "USBH Notables, Needs Connection" category: profiles in this search are connected and can have the category removed
• "US Black Heritage Project, Family Tree Size One": profiles in this search have at least one family member profile attached and can have the category removed
• "USBH Heritage Exchange, Needs Linked" category: these profiles have children attached, so they should be moved to the "USBH Heritage Exchange, Linked" category and have the Needs Linked category removed.
• "USBH Free People of Color, Needs Linked" category: these profiles have children attached, so they should be moved to the "USBH Free People of Color, Linked" category and have the Needs Linked category removed.

Missing Birth Locations

• Missing Birth Locations See US Black Heritage Project Birth Locations about what to put in the birth location field if the location is unknown.
  • Change the last number in the URL to go to a specific page.
  • Use this same link, but replace the word "Birth" with "Death" or "Marriage" for reports on missing Death and missing Marriage locations. However, missing marriage and death info is a much lower priority than birth locations and many of the profiles in those searches will be profiles where no info is available about any marriages or the person's death.

Profiles to Sticker

• Profiles that needs stickers: see linked page for details; these profiles may need the {{African-American Sticker}} added

Project Box

These should only be worked on by experienced project members who understand when to use the project box.

• Both the project box and sticker (there should be only one (US Black Heritage Project WikiTree) as this is redundant and there should be no more than 5 stickers on a profile) -- cleanup done on 8 Nov 2022
• Has the project template but not managed by the project - depending on the profile, may need to have the project added as manager of the profile or may need to have the project box replaced by the {{African-American Sticker}}.

Notables

These should generally only be worked on by experienced members of the USBH Project Notables team.

• Notables with project template but without category
• Notables with sticker but without category
• Orphan Notables with sticker -- the Project may want to become the profile manager
• Category without template or sticker (Stickers are always optional for profile managers so these aren't necessarily something to "correct")
