How to participate

• Add family member profiles
  • Create a basic biography and add all available sources
  • Add the {{African-American Sticker}} on all profiles of African-American family.
    

    ... ... ... is a part of US Black heritage.
• Please do not create profiles for living family members unless they are also notable.
• Please do not create profiles for family members who have died in the past two years.

Who Can Participate?

Any WikiTree member with Family Member status who has signed the honor code

Scoring

Points will be awarded for accurately connected profiles. Please check your work!

• 3 Points for every newly created direct ancestor profile
• 2 Points for every newly created family profile who is not a direct ancestor
• 1 Point for adding an image
  • Only 1 point per profile will be awarded
  • All photos must be copyright free or you must receive permission from the original copyright owner for them to count.
• 25 Bonus Points for the first connection to the Global Tree (the connection must not be through a living person unless also a notable)
• 20 Bonus Points for solving the special task(s) set for each challenge (announced at the beginning of each challenge)
• 10 Bonus Points for each additional connection between each family branch and existing connected profiles.

Communication

The USBH Connecting Challenge channel on the WikiTree Discord server will be used as our main method of communication. The main g2g post for each challenge will be available as well.
