October Elmira Prisoners who died in 1865

The October Challenge is from the 1st of October to the 31st. Part 2, the 1,709 POW's who died in Elmira Prison in 1865. Also, if you've been working on 1864 soldiers but haven't finished by the end of September you can continue working on them in October.

The Civil War Project REQUIRES a military source in addition to the Find-a-Grave citation. Add a Reseach Note if your unable to locate a Military Record. See Resource Section below Charts.

1. Pick a Surname Letter, click link, decide what pages you desire to work on, Add to Chart A, your ID, and what Surname Letter and Pages your working on. You can take anywhere from 1 page to multiple pages, whatever you feel comfortable researching. (Ex: M pg 1---or M pg 3-4)

1. On Chart A, add your ID and what pages your working on
2. On Chart B, you can mark what pages you've finished. (Ex: M pg 1 Done)
3. Click the Challenge Tracker for every NEW profile you create, this includes family members. You can find the link to the Challenge Tracker in two places now:
   1. on the green banner as usual.
   2. On the upper right corner of the profile, between "My WikiTree" and "Add" is the Profile ID, click that and a list will show, the first entry is the "Challenge Tracker" link.
