Servitors and Native Irish Undertakers
This is the McAdoo ONS annotated listing of lands set aside and reserved only for "Servitors and Native Irish Undertakers" during the Plantation of Ulster 1608-1620. These Native Irish, although holding but small portions of land each, held them on the same tenures as the other more fortunate undertakers, i.e., "as of the Castle of Dublin, in common socage; and subject to the Conditions generally of the Ulster Plantation".
A total of fifty-five (55) Servitor Undertakers and a total of XXXXX (??) Native Irish Undertakers received original grants of lands between 1610 and 1612 according to the following sources. Their names and the precincts in which their respective individual grants were located are compiled from these sources:
