- The ship Brooklyn Saints were LDS pioneers who sailed from New York to California (February 4 – July 31, 1846) to establish the first Mormon colony in the West. Due to religious persecution, leaders of The LDS Church planned to relocate the Mormon populace outside the United States. Two hundred thirty eight pioneers were recruited to sail around Cape Horn with heavy equipment for a large colony. They would plant crops and build infrastructure to receive the larger migration coming west by wagon the following year. Brooklyn took six months to sail 24,000 miles around Cape Horn to Alta California, surviving two terrible storms. Upon landing, the Brooklyn Saints were instrumental in building San Francisco and helped to kick off the California Gold Rush.

Research Notes
- The "Ship Brooklyn" article mentions Augusta Joyce Crocheron, a passenger on the Ship Brooklyn, but her name is not the Hawaii Passenger Manifest.
- Henry Rollins (1790-1865) was on the ship Brooklyn, his name is not found on the Hawaii manifest; is he Henry Rowland?

The same as on the original document, plus WT profile (Y/N), and/or ...
As written above, I cannot see the original because the link is only to the Ancestry paid view. You could make a free view of that link- it's been discussed how to do that in G2G. I assume the tables you have started have the same headings, and you've added the WT ID column. which is very nice to have I cannot think of a use for the last 2 columns, unless it is a followup about if they stayed in CA, or even stayed in the church, but I'm sure those have much less use and may be hard to fill in... Also, I would think the church records would have a list of people sent on that 'ministry'
