This bible appears to have belonged to Guysbert Bogart Vroom Jr. M.D. (1859-1941).

"Guy. B. Vroom." is written on a front page, and there are references to "my great grandfather Peter Delameter [sic] Vroom" and "my great grandmother Elsie Bogart". "Geo A. Vroom" is written in pencil on the title page.

The family record tables in the center appear to have been filled out all at once, possibly copied (or mis-copied) from another source.

Doane were married Oct. 21st 1858	Russel Post and Jamima Pelton were married Sept. 24. 1801. Isreal Doane and Dollly Buckingham Post were married Aug 27. 1834

The Vroom family are descended from Sarah Rapelje who was born in the vicinity of New York in 1625 and was the first white child born on Long Island. My Great Grandfather Peter Delamater Vroom was born in New York Feb. 7. 1745 My Great Grandmother Elsie Bogart was born Oct. 12. 1745. Guysbert Bogart Vroom was born Aug. 1st 1778 Catalina Delamater was born July 18th 1782 George Agustus Vroom was born Sept. 6th 1811. Guysbert Bogart Vroom was born Sept. 11th 1859 George Agustus Vroom was born Oct. 21st 1861

Russel Post was Born Sep. 13h 1778. Jemima Pelton was born Aug. 3d 1779. Israel Doane was born Dec. 10h 1809. Dolly Buckingham Post was born Dec. 5h 1811. Gettine M. Doane was born Jany 20h 1836.
