• Within Wikitree there is a way of creating tables with columns Tips for Tables. At the beginning of this is a link showing you how to upload a spreadsheet straight into a Wikitree table. This fantastic if you have such a spreadsheet.

Basic Table

• For those who don't, the explanations on that page are great as a starter for 10, So make sure you have worked through that and you are able to create

Column A	Column B
Bananas	$1.20
Apples	$0.80
Grapefruit	$2.00
Strawberries	$0.50

• Personally I rarely use the "wikitable sortable" function, so my table starter would look like this

Column A	Column B
Bananas	$1.20
Apples	$0.80
Grapefruit	$2.00
Strawberries	$0.50

Add a Column

• so if I wanted to add another column I would add a couple of pipes after Column B with a space after B and a space after the double pipe

Bananas	$1.20

Grapefruit	$2.00

• and another

Column A	Column B	Column C	Column D
Bananas	$1.20

• only when you put entries into the boxes (using the same double pipe as a separator) are the borders produced

Indenting your Table

• You may have noticed that there are a couple of colons at the beginning of table. This is to indent it. Without the colons it would look like this.

Putting Our data in

• So let's try it with our data from the Part 1. I start by copying and pasting the first couple of lines from the Table above, not forgetting to put a concluding line with |}

Adding a line

• Now you want to add another line... One way is always to have an extra line to move to. Equally you could copy the headings line and paste below, and delete the text.
