How do you post or reference a website that has Copyright attached to it? Can it be referenced or not? And if it can, how do you source it?
posted by [Living Lane]
There is no restriction on referencing. See the information on the Sourcerers Team Page - https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Wales_Sourcerers_Team_Page and the guidelines page that links from there.

Copyright is little complicated. You can not simply copy and paste copyrighted material. You can paraphrase it. Example would be from a book or publication. Data can not be copyrighted nor can photos or written material that is in the public domain. Another guideline is copying parts of copyrighted written material to be used on a non-commercial web site, such as WikiTree, is not a violation.

You can write to the source for permission to use the copyrighted material. Just explain how much you want to use and how it will be used. First, check the source's description of their copyright and what is allowed.

This is one source for Jesse Howard Pritchard. If you have PRITCHARD family members, I have more to share that I found. The BillionGraves Index refers back to FamilySearch as do the other sources I have found attached to Jesse Howard Pritchard.

"BillionGraves Index," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KSG2-PFF : 24 June 2015), Jesse Howard Pritchard, died 22 Jan 1980; citing BillionGraves (http://www.billiongraves.com : 2012), Burial at Eason Memorial Baptist Church, Eastover, Richland, South Carolina, United States. Records include: 1917-1918 US World War I Draft Cards, South Carolina, Sumter A-S 1920 US Census, Military and Naval Forces, France, Paris, Exhumation Unit 1940 US Veterans Administration Master Index 1917-1940 send a message if this will help. Thanks for reading the message. J. L.

Hello Susie

I hope this is the right person, I found this while searching on familysearch.org. K8PS-YKV Edith Vermell McLeod 1917 – 1961 familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KHC2-JKW MARRIED: Jesse Howard Pritchard 1894-1980 Jesse served in the Navy overseas in Paris Francis in 1920 and lived in Hawaii Naval base barracks in 1940. Is this person someone in your family? Edith Vermell McLeod? Pritchard is a family name that branches off the Jones family from Wales. If this is a fit for you, I have some more information to pass along. Thanks, J. L.

Hello to EVERYONE! I have many ancestors from Wales, one of which was DAVIES. When the Davies from Wales immigrated to the United States, immigration workers changed their surnames from Davies to DAVIS. <ref: IMMIAGRATION SURNAME CHANGE; Davies to DAVIS; 1881 Immigration to the USA from Wales. Source: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_J._Davis; Heading; Early Life and Career, Second Paragraph; Lines: 5-8; "He personally signed his name as James J. Davies even though his surname had been changed on immigration to DAVIS and he became well known with the surname Davis." >

I have many ancestors who worked as 'Puddlers" in the Iron Roll Mills. <ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_puddler > also: <ref: welshcoalmines.co.uk/Gwent/Bedwellty_Pits_Tredegar > I hope this is helpful. I look forward to participating in this adventure. Sincerely, J. L. (Lane-14086)
