Warren County History
Warren County was created in 1807 from part of White County. It is named for Joseph Warren, a general in the Revolutionary War.

Warren County is part of Middle Tennessee, one of Tennessee's Three Grand Divisions. These divisions are not only geographic, but also cultural and defined in state law. Warren County is also part of the South Central Region of Appalachia.
