Also known as Mittagong General Cemetery and formerly as Fitzroy General Cemetery, Welby General Cemetery is one of the council cemeteries operated by Wingecarribee Shire Council in New South Wales. It is located at the southern end of the Mittagong township at Welby, which is named after Welby's Farm, one of the first farm houses in the Mittagong district. The area of Welby used to be known as Fitzroy. [1]
