- From The Western Mail of Perth, Historic Homesteads artwork by D L Cummings. 1939
- This is the first of a series of drawings by the well-known West Australian artist, Douglas L. Cummings, depicting historic homesteads in the South-West of this State. Each week one of these drawings will appear and will be accompanied by a descriptive article which tells in brief the history of the homestead and its founders and describes the homestead as it is now.
