This Space is a work in progress.
Working on the WikiTree Challenge we need to remember that the profiles are aimed at for both genealogists and non-genealogists. Those with an interest in genealogy will want to see where information came from, so it is very important that we show our sources. There will be others who are just interested in the person's story, so an interesting biography will encourage them to look further and perhaps become more involved.

Challenge Profiles
Basic Profiles
- For Challenge profiles, please use an inline citation to prove the relationship to the parents. Ask your captain, or in Discord, if you need help creating those. Bounty points may not be awarded if that citation is missing.
- Note that census charts are not recommended on challenge profiles. They are too easy to 'break' for newer researchers. You can put three census charts in a ===Census Data=== section. Any more than that should be on a Space page and linked to the profile.
- We respect privacy even more so than the WikiTree standards call for. You can check the Help page for the basics, but please don't add relatives that died after 2002, out of respect for the living family members. Thanks!

- Anna Maria (Eyers) Weymer (bef.1713-abt.1765)
- Johannes Eyer (1720-1721)

- Hans Vitalis Odelberg (1898-1980)

Profiles With Narrative
- Some of these profiles are in the "I have a lot of experience" category. What takes them up to another level to be advanced? Adding categories, inline citations, inserted images, military sections, stickers, extended narrative, source images, background images, etc.
1700s
- John Valler (abt.1730-)
- Eliza (Gale) Valler (1737-)
- Noah E. Stafford (1782-1852) This is a great example of collaboration, where multiple people worked on it. It goes beyond census records and has deed information, estate information and a newspaper clipping.
1800s
- Ellen (Voller) West (1882-1933) Note that there is a small census section. For a lot of census records please create a Space page and link to it.
- Frederik Louis Kruse (1869-1944)
- Simeon Wymer (1853-1930)
- Sarah Ann (Stafford) Dotson (1851-1933)
- Elizabeth Lilly (Deffebach) Jones (1876-)
- Charles Alphonsus Gilmartin (1883-1938)
1900s
Advanced Profiles
- There is never an expectation for WikiTreers to complete profiles at this level. These are just to show you what can be done with time and experience. There are several projects that have 'trails' you can follow, like the England Orphan Trail, which are free one-on-one courses to teach you more about creating profiles on WikiTree.

Slave Documentation
- Note that these examples were created with guidance by the USBH Project. You are allowed to do use special markup (i.e. colored text) on Space pages, as long as it isn't CSS. Remember that these are examples, and adding the Space page and category are optional.

Resources
- Biography Generator This is a super simple tool for creating a basic narrative, with or without inline citations. Just add the Wiki-ID to the box and click on 'Generate.'
- Swedish Source Citation Creator Use these to create citations for Swedish sources
- WikiTree AGC This addon is to clean up gedcom 'clutter' once we've connected to existing profiles. It is awesome at cleaning up the gedcoms and putting the source information together.
- WikiTree BEE This addon is great for a lot of things, but the main help for the Challenge is the 'auto-bio' button that it puts on the profiles. This will give you basic narrative you can add to.
- WikiTree Sourcer This gives you a one-click button [1] at the top of your browser to easily search for sources from Ancestry, FindMyPast, FamilySearch, GRO, and FreeBMD. The other option that is nice is a citation creator usable from one of those sites that allows you to either create a citation for the Sources section, create an inline citation, or create narrative with an inline citation, as described in the user guide. It can also create census tables for you. Please remember that while these can be great for your own profiles, we don't add census tables to Challenge profiles. They are too easy for a new person that wants to add to the profile to 'break,' they aren't mobile friendly, and they can add a lot of unnecessary length to the profiles.
