Maiden Name of Spouse
1. What was the maiden name of William McClellan (abt.1747-bef.1838)'s wife? Where and when did they marry? There is more information on my Ancestry tree https://www.ancestry.ca/family-tree/person/tree/34965071/person/28113829880/facts If they married in the American colonies it could have been in the Cherry Valley, NY area prior to 1770, or possibly in Massachusetts or Maine, there are several McClellan families that emigrated to the colonies from Ulster in the early to mid-1700s. as William bought land in 1773, it is possible that he had family in the colonies who supported him. William, Jane and their children were survivors of the Cherry Valley Massacre November 10, 1778 at Cherry Valley, New York

Maine USA 5 Generation Sourcing
6. To finish the family history of the first five generations, starting with me, I'm working on. Dad's side is sourced. Mom's side is a little more of a challenge. Those elusive Plantation of Maine records is my stumbling block. Here is my mother's profile to start Shirley Beatrice (Pease) Stearns (1935-2001)
- Santa's Elf Response: Granted - I've added some sources to the actual profiles. You have quite a history already at Family Search on your mother's side with linked sources for a lot more than 5 generations. I've been able to link more of those old Maine vital records to add more support for what is already there and cleared up a few conflicts and issues and made a few additional links. I put a link in the comments on your mother's profile. You have many hours of joyful discovery and adding to wikitree ahead of you with the information now available to you. ~~ Mary Brandt Jensen

Germany to Illinois 1800s
11. My husband's GGGrandfather Rudolph Wilhelm Schmidt (abt.1839-abt.1905) emigrated from Germany and lived in the area around Edwardsville, Illinois the remainder of his life. We have a (cut out and pasted) copy of an obituary in a scrapbook which we think is from either the Edwardsville or St. Louis paper but it is undated and we've never been able to find the obit online or establish a date of death (we think it's about 1905). And although the obit says he was to be buried in Woodlawn cemetery, we've not been able to find a gravesite (I "invented" a FindaGrave with what little I know). the pandemic has prevented us from traveling to that area to try and research further. Anything more we can learn about him will be much appreciated.
- Santa's Elf Response: Some cite his wife's maiden Kuk surname americanized as Cook, so there may be some census records for her parents under that spelling.

I'd really like to find out how they are connected! I've written up some notes on exactly what I already know and what I would like to find out. Shropshire England 1800s
13. Having worked on my tree since 1973, my most stubborn wall has been a paternal great grandfather. Two years ago I discovered his probable name from a small 1864 newspaper clipping, where my great grandmother had summonsed him for child maintenance! I thought the wall was down. Apparently there's no trace of him after that date. The name stated was Thomas Bulwer (abt.1846-) age 16. The only male Bulwer of the right age I have found was an Edwin BULWER, and then a light went on, my grandfathers name at Birth was Meredith ROGERS, but at some point in the next 3 years, his name became Edwin Meredith (Rogers) Davies (1863-1934). Could it be that the person known as 'Tom' was actually Edwin and it was assumed his name was Thomas? According to the clipping the proceeding was not completed as the witness was unwell and unable to attend. I cannot locate any further information on Thomas/Edwin or further court information. The estate where they both worked was "near Baschurch", which I believe is in Shropshire. My gt-grandmothers home was in North wales, next door to Shropshire and the clipping is from the Wrexham Leader.

1776 Harford Co Maryland USA Tax List
14. All I want for Christmas is...the 1776 census (tax list) of Eden Hundred, Harford County, Maryland. Some counties, including Harford, noted each member of every household by name and age - yes, both free and enslaved, male and female, young and old. Though there are several mentions of data from Eden Hundred in a published history of the area, and in old posts/articles on genealogy sites, it isn't included in any compilation or database I can find. The published history did include a footnote that cited an 18-folio collection of Harford data held by the Maryland State Archives. Unfortunately, I live on the other side of the country, so I need to hitch a ride to Maryland on Santa's sleigh. If he could just drop me off in Annapolis and provide me with the keys to the Archives, I believe I'd be able to identify my 3rd g-grandmother Sarah (Scarff) Strong (aft.1766-aft.1843)'s parents, and maybe a sibling or two if I'm lucky.
- Santa's Elf Response: You can read that online here. (Silva-1055)
- Santa's Elf Response: No Scarffs or Strongs listed in the source above, I am looking for Quaker records for the area. I have Quaker roots in Maryland and southern Pennsylvania. Cox-27529 21:22, 23 December 2021 (UTC)

16. I would be a wonderful Christmas and/or New Year gift for me to find out what became of Bridget (Moylan) Sweeney (abt.1819-aft.1868), born about 1819 in Ballingarry, after her husband, Coast Guard Daniel Hugh Sweeney (abt.1820-1868) was drowned in 1868 outside of Dunany Harbour on the East Coast of the North of Ireland. I would also like to know what became of their son, Daniel Sweeney (1850-), born 15.02.1958 in Beer, Devon, England, after this tragedy. I've taken a DNA test. I'm very curious as to what the Paternal Haplogroups turn out to be from other Weddingtons. It will help to start confirming or disproving relationships.
- Santa's Elf Response: I just scanned your profile and I see an auDNA test, have you thought about getting a YDNA test? I see a Weddington who is tied to the Smith Surname here in the DNA Group Project. Mags Gaulden Answered his G2G post. More Info needed on Irish Ancestors
22. I wish I knew enough about my husband's (Connolly-680) Irish born ancestors to extend his tree further as my memorial for him - he was thrilled with every discovery I made before he died 6 months ago and I hope to feel up to getting back to genealogy soon. The farthest back ancestors I have found were immigrants to the United States and I know nothing about them before they arrived. These are Andrew Connolly (1812-1884), Delia A (Keavaney) Connolly (abt.1880-1961), Peter Lynch (1835-1885), and Mary (Quigley) Lynch (1836-1901). Also found a state census for her grandmother Miranda Rhoden-302 showing her 6 years younger but with some Drakes. She is without husband in 1860.

Immigration from Austria 1903
26. I would like to find more information about my mom's grandmother, Josephine (Kirsch) Weber (1890-1972) and great grandmother, Rosalia Krisch (1867-). I have found the ship manifest from when they immigrated in 1903 https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-916T-94CS?i=756. It lists Rosalia as a widow so I don't know if the Krisch is her LNAB or her married name. I have posted a story that has been passed down on one branch of the family on Rosalia's profile. I have tried looking for the niece that is listed on the document with no luck. My mom is writing a family book and I would to be able to give her the gift of information about these ladies and even a better gift would be if Josephine's father is found.
- Santa's Elf Response: “Wish Granted” LNAB and husband's name (possible father of Josephine?) of Rosalia Krisch is revealed on her death certificate. Index of which is available on Ancestry, but is also copied as a document into the photo section of her profile for guaranteed access to the information. Death certificate is signed by daughter, Josephine Weber. Josephine & Rosalia are buried in the same section/family plot area of St John Cemetery in Queens, NYC. FindAGrave photo requests put in for both, added entry for mother. MORE RESEARCH NEEDED! Rosalia's parent's names are provided, but more research is needed to discover their origin in Prussia.

27. I would love to find out more about Lois Raper (1823-1893)'s father or the unknown father of her children.
- Lois AKA Louisa was born in 1823 in Doncaster, Yorkshire, England and died in Leeds in 1893. Her father is listed as William Raper (1786-bef.1833) who was possibly a lieutenant with the West Middlesex Militia. I would love to know more about this military life/his wife/if any records exist for this.
*Lois had three children as a single parent - I know it's basically impossible but it would be amazing if any records existed for guesses who the father of her children would be. The Y-DNA is I-P109
- Santa's Elf Response: Added 1851 England Census for Louisa & Mary - found mother Louisa listed as servant in another household. May want to check that household name to see if you get any DNA matches to the last name? Located Louisa and Mary on the BMD index. Requested birth records for both (not sure if it will list father).

- Santa's Elf Response: I put a note on your Mom's profile with some suggestions on how I found my German Catholic ancestors in a different church in New Orleans. - Emma was born in Manchester, Guysborough, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1863. By 1888, she was in Middleboro, Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States, and married to her second husband. Who was the first husband (the elusive Mr. Reagan), when and where were they married, and what became of him?

- Santa's Elf Response: I had mistakenly replied on the signup page so am tranferring my info here now. Hope I am doing it right now. Internet family trees are saying her name was Maria Byers who married Philip Calahan. I wasn't able to find a solid source for that, but thought you might want to try searchng for those names to see if anything might turn up. I added an 1860 census for their son Charles Callahan-2158 with his wife. I also added an 1850 census for you to look at because it has a mining occupation ... which is different than the 1850 census you have, so you can keep whichever one you think is suitable.

quote> locate a maiden name and parents for my mtDNA Ancestress, Barbara Bowman.
This is just a possible lead ... see if there are any mtdna matches with Barbara Keller, b: 1754 Bucks, PA; d: Feb 1850 Shenandoah Co, VA; daughter of Hans George Keller (1711–1782) & Barbara Anne Hottel (1713–1798).
I think there is a wikitree profile for her at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Keller-2616 No mother shows on that profile, but if you look at the father's profile, the Hottel wife is there.

Whose the Daddy North Carolina 1700s
38. What a wonderful idea! For over 50 years now (I started doing genealogy when I was 17, back in 1970) I've been trying to find the parents of my adoptive dad's great-grandfather, Neill Munn (1792-1842), born 1792 in Fayettevlle, Cumberland, North Carolina and died 20 NOV 1842 in La Grange, Fayette, Republic of Texas. Unfortunately, my adoptive dad died before I was able to give him a DNA test, and he had no living siblings or other close relatives, but a distant cousin of his, also a Neill Munn descendant, tested and learned that our branch of the family has a connection to Alexander McAlpine Munn (1725-1776), something I have always suspected. This Alexander had a son named Neil, but from all indications he was a separate person from my Neill Munn. Other researchers have assigned different parents to my Neill Munn, but with no documentation and I've been unable to find any. Decades ago, a Munn genealogist claimed that Neill's parents were an Alexander Munn and his wife Flora, but I have been unable to verify this or even find any likely candidates, although there were several Alexander Munns around at the right place and time (none with a wife named Flora, though, as far as I know). This seems to be one of those cases in which we're so close to finding the answer, and yet so far away. I think that DNA might provide the answer. It also doesn't help that all the Munn families in the same vicinity followed the Scottish naming tradition and gave their children the same first names. Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

39. I would love to know what happened to my great-grandfather, James A Beckett (abt.1857-abt.1887). He married my great grandmother in Clay County, Missouri in 1879. They appear together in the 1880 census in Daviess County, Missouri. They had two kids, Jesse, born 1884 & Charley, born 1881(estimated from census). I found the birth record for Jesse, my grandfather but not Charley. My great grandma Jennie married her third husband, Charles Ball on 13 Mar 1889 in Marionville, Lawrence Co. Missouri. We have no idea what happened to James. Did they divorce or did he die? I have been unable to find any proof of when or where he died. This has been a mystery I've been trying to solve since 1994. I hope someone can finally solve what happened to him. Thank you in advance for any answers you might be able to provide.

41. What happened to great aunt Nellie? Can anyone with experience of finding Canadian records help me complete the story of Helen (Wilson) Patrick (1884-)? At the least I would like to add a death date. If any detail can be added from the latter part of her life, all the better! My mum was fond of her aunt Nellie and one of Nellie's paintings always hung in her lounge. It would be nice to make this profile more complete. He settled in New York City, got married and had 3 or 4 kids, but he seems to have kept himself secret. I can't find a wedding record or birth records - just the 1910 census. The only record from New York that I can find is that his son, Joseph McGrath, died in a car accident in 1915, only 25 years old. Was Thomas into something illegal? Why didn't any other family members settle in New York? Please, Santa, find me a story!

48. I'd love some help locating my ancestor Frank Nelson (1855-1907) in Sweden before he came to the United States. His obituary says he was born in Stockholm on 3 Jun 1855. Around 1870, he went to work in Germany for about three years, then made a brief trip back home to Sweden, then came to America. He was in Logansport, Indiana, living with his cousin Gustave/August Nelson (abt.1843-1880) for a few years. Gustave died in 1880, and soon after Frank settled in Defiance, Ohio, where he married and had children. I don't really have any information about Frank's parents besides that they lived in Sweden.
- Santa's Elf Response: This was a difficult one. I have searched in Swedish indexes for Frank, Gustave, and both their wifes with no luck. But today, 26th of Dec I had more luck. I think it's safe to say Wish is Granted! I just have to write down all of my findings. Ok, I have created a free space page Research about Mary Anne Johnson, her husband Gustave Nelson etc. with my findings. Indiana, Ohio Parents 1800s
55. My wish is to find the parents of my husband's great great grandmother, Alice Susan (Tracy) Lee (1864-1946) . She was born 9 Apr 1864 maybe Ohio, but more likely Indiana, as death certificate shows. She died 19 Mar 1946 in Eldorado Springs, Cedar Co Missouri and is buried at Humansville, Polk Co Missouri. I have seen her funeral card and have a copy of her death certificate which says parents unknown. She married Joseph Daniel Lee (1859-) in Delaware Co Indiana on 29 Dec 1884. They had 6 children all born in Indiana, but the last one. One child in Delaware Co Indiana and two born Alexandria, Madison Co Indiana. I want to debunk the information on Ancestry that shows her parents and the age on the census do not add up to the birth date above. If the idea of her being born in Ohio is correct in the 1880 census, there is an Alice Tracy living in Alexandria, Madison Co Indiana working as a hired girl the right age. Is this her? I can't find her in the 1870 census.

56. My genealogy wish is to find the birth place of my grandmother. She was born on October 12, 1902. Her name was Angelina (Volponi) Camaione (1902-1987). Her father was Pasquale Volpone (1879-1956). Her mother may have been Annunziata D'omizio or Lenza Domenica. Angelina may have been from the Abruzzo region of Italy OR from the north. Her brother was born in San Salvo in Abruzzo. Her mother may have been from Bergamo Italy in the Lombardy region. I cannot find her birthplace or a definitive name for her mother. I would appreciate any help you can offer.
- Santa's Elf Response: I added the sources from FamilySearch and some Research notes. As the two older siblings have Annunziata Domizio as mother, I would suppose it's Angelina's mother as well (unless you would find an earlier marriage for their father). Try to get Angelina's original marriage record, there her parents and hopefully also her birth location should be mentioned. Records from italy are usually only available online up to 1900, so you would need to write to the comune or to the church to get records from there. I found a cousin Michele Domizio who migrated together with Angelina. I hope this helps. Caruso-344 15:35, 29 December 2021 (UTC)

Ralph Tetreault was born on 25 February 1886 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the son of Joseph Tetreault and Lena Bois. Some records show 1884, others 1886 and another that lists his year of birth as 1885. He passed away on 1 February 1973 in Manchester, New Hampshire, United States.
There are several records that show last name as Tetreault, and others are listed as Tatro.
I've been stuck on getting anymore info on Ralph as if he disappeared.
Even my mother-in-law Louise Olmstead is listed as both Tetreault and Tatro.
Can anyone out there help me break through my brick wall?
Thanks & Happy New Year!
Haven't found Marie's marriage, have found 4 records for her and her husband François or François Joseph Guittar, one baptism of their son François Guittard, where Marie is listed Marie Fillot, and 3 marriages, all done in Petit-Rocher in New Brunswick, her name gets written Filliatre and Filiaud (2).
