Will

In the Name of God Amen The ffourteenth day of ffebruary in the year of our
Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and thirty seven I James Savery of Quenington in the County of
Gloucester Husbandman being in Good health and in perfect Sound Memory thanks be given unto God
therefore do make and Ordaine this to be my Last Will and Testament in Manner and forme following
(That is to say) Item I Give and bequeath unto My Daughter Mary Savery Twenty Pounds Item I Give and
bequeath unto My Daughter Ann Savery Twenty Pounds Item I Give and bequeath unto My Son Richard Savery Twenty
Pounds Item I Give and bequeath unto My Son James Savery Twenty Pounds Item I Give and bequeath unto My Son
Vinar Savery Twenty Pounds Item I Give and bequeath unto My Son Elijah Savery Twenty pounds Item I Give
and bequeath unto My Daughter Elizabeth Savery Twenty Pounds Item I Give unto my Son Thomas
Savery
Twenty Pounds Item I Give and bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Savery Twenty Pounds
Item I Give and bequeath unto my Dear and Loving wife whom I make my whole and Sole Executrix all
my Estate in Quenington aforesaid all My Stock and Crop of Corn and hay and all Goods and Chattells
dureing her Life paying the Interest of Money that is Now due and After her decease then I Give and
bequeath unto my Son John Savery all my Said Estate, Crop and Stock and all Goods and Chattles and also
All Implements belongeing to Husbandry with a provisoe that he shall pay all my Debts and
Legacys that shall be then Due and if it shall happen that my said wife shall happen to dye before
my youngest Children shall Come to the age of Eighteen yeares of age Then I do Confine my Said Son
John Savery to provide and allowe a Maintenance for them In witness where of I the Said
James Savery have hereunto Set my hand and Seal the day and yeare first above Written--

Lord 1739 before the Worshipful Sir Henry Penrice Knight
Doctor of Laws Vicar General in Spirituals of the Right
Reverend Father in God Martin by Divine permission Lord
Bishop of the Diocese of Gloucester and of his Episcopal
Consistory Official Principal Lawfully Constituted by Mary
Savery
Sole Executrix and so forth to whom and so forth after
having first Sworn well and faithfully to Administer to
said Will and also to Exhibit an Inventory and render an
amount and so forth
