Will

In The name of God amen.
I John Midwinter of Essington,
in the county of Glocester, /near
Northleach/ yeoman., Being
weak in Body but of perfect
sound mind and memory I heartily
thank almighty god for the same
Doe here make this my last will
and testament in manner and
form following. I give to my loving
mother Elizabeth Midwinter fifteen
pounds a year during her natural
life to be paid half yearly and the
use of all such goods as she may want
during her life and after to return
to my Executor here under named
and I doe here name and appoint
my loving Brother Steven Midwinter
Clerk my heir to all my Estates
and all other my goods and Effects
whatsoever and alsoe my whole
and sole Executor to this my
last will and testament -----
which I have made signed and
sealed this the thirteenth day of
October one thousand seven hundred
and forty nine
sign'd seald and Delivered as my last
will and Testament }

Official Principal Lawfully constituted by Stephen
Midwinter Brother and sole Executor and so forth to whom
and so forth having first Sworn well and faithfully to
Administer to the said Will and also to Exhibit an Inventory
and Render an Account and so forth
