Original Will
In the Name of God Amen I William
Huckvale of Over Norton in the County of Oxford
Servant being of Sound and Perfect Mind and
Understanding do make this my Last Will and
Testament in Manner following (that is to say)
principally I commend my soul into the Hands of God
who gave it hoping through the Merrits of Jesus Christ
to receive free Pardon of all my Sins and my Body I commit
to the Earth to be decently buried at the Descretion of
my Executor hereafter Named And as to what Worldly
Estate it hath pleased God to bless me withal I Give
Devise and Bequeath the same as foĺloweth First I
give and Bequeath unto my Brother Samuel
Huckvale the sum of Eighty Pounds Also I give and
Bequeath unto Mary the Wife of the said Samuel
Huckvale Thirty Pounds Also I give and Bequeath unto
my neece Mary the Daughter of the said Samuel & Mary
Huckvale Fifty Pounds Each respective Sum to be
paid them in good and Lawful money of Britain within
Six Months after my Decease by my Executor hereafter
Named Also I give and Bequeath unto my uncle
Joseph Huckvale five Pounds to be paid him by my
Executor immediately after my Decease All the Rest
Residue and Remainder of my goods Chattels and
Personal Estate whatsoever & wheresoever after my Debts
Legacies and Funeral Charges are paid and Discharged
I give Devise and Bequeath unto my Brother Jonathan
Huckvale whom I do make and appoint Sole
Executor of this my Will hereby Revoking and making
void all former Wills by me made In Witness
hereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal
the fifteenth Day of May In the year of our Lord
one Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty

Original Will Codicil
Be it known unto all men by these Presents
that I William Huckvale of Overnorton Servant
have made and declared my last Will and Testament
in Writing bearing Date the Fifteenth Day of May
1750. I the Said William Huckvale by this present
Codicil do ratify and confirm my Said last Will and
Testament and do give and bequeath unto
Hannah Claridge the Sum of five Pounds Also
I give and bequeath unto Hannah Shortland five Pounds
to be paid unto them by my Executor in good and lawful
money of great Britain within Six Months after my
Decease And my Will and meaning is That this Codicil
be adjudged to be part and parcel of my last Will
and Testament and that all things therein contained
be faithfully and truly performed and as fully & amply in
every Respect as if the Same were declared and
down in my Said last Will and Testament

Revd Simon Paget Clerk Surrogate of the Worshipful Henry Brooke Dr
of Laws Official Principal of the Reverend the Archdeacon of Oxon
lawfully constituted By the Oath of Jonathan Huckvale sole Executor
