Original Will

In the Name of God Amen I Samuel Huckvale the Elder of Over Norton in the
County of Oxford Yeoman being weak in Body but of a sound and disposing mind memory and
understanding Praised be God Do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament
in manner following And principally I resign my Soul unto God who gave it and my Body
and as to such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I Give Devise and
Bequeath the same as followeth (that is to say) First I Give and Devise unto my Son Samuel his
Heirs and Assigns for ever All that my now erected Farm House with the Barns Stables Outbuildings
Rick-Yard Backsides Gardens and Close or Orchard adjoining thereto with the appurtenancies situate
in the Parish of Over Norton aforesaid in a place there called Choice Hill Also I Give and Bequeath
unto my said son Samuel his Heirs Executors Adminsitrators and Assigns All that my new enclosed
Estate which I now holdunder the Dean and Chapter of Gloucester (dureing all my Estate therein) that is
situate lying and being in the Parish of Over Norton aforesaid (Except the two Grounds called the
Ham Grounds being a part of the said Estate) my said Son Samuel his Heirs Executors and Administrators
Paying therefore yearly and every year unto my Son Jonathan his Heirs Executors and Administrators
the sum of thirty eight Pounds of lawful Money of Great Brittain Also I Give and Bequeath
unto my Son William his Heirs Executors and Administrators that other part of my said Lease hold
Estate call the two Ham Grounds (dureing all my Estate therein) He my said Son William Paying
therefore yearly and every year unto my said Son Jonathan the sum of thirty Pounds of lawful
Money of Great Brittain And Also he my said Son William Paying a proportionable part
towards the renewal of my said Leasehold Estate And likewise a proportionable part towards
the Land Tax Also I Give and Devise unto my said Son William his Heirs Executors
Administrators and Assogns for ever All that my Farm House situate and being in the Hamlet of
Over Norton aforesaid wherein I now dwell with the Barns Stables Out buildings and all and
every of the appurtenancies And Also all my Old and New enclosed Freehold Lands lying
and being in the Parish of Over Norton aforesaid with the Appurtenancies (not herein before
disposed of) Nevertheless subject to and chargeable with the payment of One Annuity
or clear yearly Sum of thirty Pounds of lawful Money of Great Brittain unto my loveing
Wife Mary or her Assigns dureing her natural Life at two equal half yearly payments
the first payment thereof to begin and to be made at the end of six months next happening
after my decease And Also with the the payment of the sum of five hundred Poiunds
of like lawful Money unto my Daughter Sarah Wife of Thomas Purdy at the end of
twelve Months next after the time of my decease And Also with the payment of the
like Sum of five hundred Pounds of like lawful Money unto my Daughter Mary
Wife of John Busby at the end of twelve Months next after the time of my decease

and I charge the said Farm House Lands and Premises given to my
said Son William with the payment of the said Annuity of thirty Pounds to my Wife and
the said several Sums of five hundred Pounds and five hundred Pounds unto my said
Daughters Sarah and Mary in manner aforesaid And unto my said Son William
I Give and Bequeath All my Household Goods and furniture of Household Plate
Linnen Cattle Stock and crops of Corn Grain Hay Grass Tools and Implements in
Husbandry and all the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal Estates
Goods Chattels and Effects of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever And
I do make nominate constitute and appoint my said Son William sole Executor of
this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and makeing void all former
and other Will or Wills by me at any time or times heretofore made In Wittness
whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two Sheets of
Paper to the first Sheet thereof set my Hand and to the last Sheet thereof set my
Hand and Seal the Twenty fourth day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand
seven Hundred and Eighty six :||:

This Will was proved in the Visitation at Chippingnorton
on the twenty six day of April in the year of our Lord 1786 before
the Revd. Henry Lomas Clerk M A Surrogate of the worshipfull
Thomas Bever DSS Official Principal of the Revd. Archdeacon of Oxford
by the Oath of William Hukvale the son and sole Executor therein
named to whom Admi[nistra]con was granted being first sworn duly to
administer
