This is a transcription of the will of Abell Collin, Junior, a mercer of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. He was the son of John Collin, and nephew of Abell Collin (who was the senior but was not referred to as such), also a mercer of Nottingham and executor of the said will.
Abell drew up his will on 24 November 1700 and it was proved at the Court of the Archdeaconry of Nottingham on 28 November 1701, with an inventory of his goods having been taken on 17 October 1701. [1]

I Abell Collin junior of the Towne & County of
the Towne of Nottingham Mercer doe make Constitute
& ordaine this my last Will & Testatment in manner
& forme following, that is to say first I give &
bequeath to my Wife fourty pounds a year for & dureing
her naturall Life to be paid to her Quarterly out of the
Interest & product of my personall Estate by my
Executor hereafter named shee allowing to my s[ai]d Executor
ten pounds a yeare for her life out of the s[ai]d fourty
pounds a yeare for & towards the maintenance of my
two Children I alsoe give to my sister Cliftons three
Children the summe of five pounds apeice I alsoe give to
my Daughter Elizabeth the summe of foure hundred
pounds to be payd her by my s[ai]d Executor out of the
remainder of my afores[ai]d personall Estate when she comes
to the age of Eighteen yeares or be Married w[hi]ch shall first
happen & my will is that the interest and product of
the s[ai]d £400 shall till then goe towards the maintenance
of my said two Children & I alsoe give to my s[ai]d
Daughter the Summe of foure hundred pounds to be p[ai]d
her by my s[ai]d Executor immediately after the Decease
of my said Wife out of th[a]t part of my s[ai]d personall estate
reserved as aforesaid for the Securing to her the afores[ai]d
fourty pounds a Yeare for her Life And all the rest
of my reall & personall estate (except four Five pounds
which I give to my Executor hereafter named) I Give and
bequeath to my Son John Collin & to his heirs for ever
Lastly I nominate and apoynt my Loveing Uncle Mr
Abell Collin of Nottingham aforesaid Mercer my
Sole Executor of this my Last Will & Testament In
