This is a transcript of the register copy of the will of Agnes Wright, Widow 1574. It was written on 9 May 1574. It was probated on8 July 1574.[1]

I Agnes Wright widow beinge of good and
[per]fecte rememberance thanks be to go doe
ordayne and make my laste will and
testatment in manner and forme followinge
First I commite my soule to almightie god
my Saviour and redemer and my body to be
buried in the churchyarde of Hing[a]m in the
discretion of my Executors whome I make
Rob[er]t and Walter my sonnes

Item I give and
bequeathe unto Richard my sonnes six
children ijs iiijl a pece to be p[ai]d to evry
one of them at xxj tene yeares of age and yf any
them die before they come to that age then
I will that one shalle ane there heires
to be equallie dvided amongste them

children thre shillinge fower pound a pece
