This is a transcription of the register copy of the will of Ann Christian Als Moore of Peeltown, in the parish of Kk German, Isle of Man. Ann made her will on 1 May 1701, she was buried at Kk German on 1 June 1701 [1] and the will was proved at the Episcopal Court of the Bishop of Sodor and Man held on 13 June 1701. [2] There were no claims registered against her estate.

This is affirmed to be the last Will & Testam[en]t of
Ann Christian als Moore who departed this life about
the 1st of May 1701 being in perfect mind & me=
=mory at the making thereof. First she committed her
soul to God & body to Xt[ia]n burial. Itt[em] She left
her brother Thomas 4 s th[a]t was due to him Itt[em] she left
to her sister in law Marg[are]t Xt[ia]n a petticoat & two
sheep Itt[em] she left to Ann Woods als Xt[ia]n of Ballaneri a
riding hood. Itt[em] She left to her husband half a cow
& half the riding horse. Itt[em] she left all the rest of
her goods moveable & immoveable to her son John Xt[ia]n &
if he died before he came to age, she then left all
her goods to her husband & appointed th[a]t her s[ai]d child
& goods shud be left to the care & tuition of her s[ai]d
husband. Itt[em] she died cut all persons th[a]t woud claim
right to her goods with 6 d a piece legacy. Itt[em] she
left the money th[a]t was due to her from Wm Corring
& his wife to her s[ai]d son John
