In the name of God Amen I Ann Markham of Great
Plumstead in the County of Norffolk Widd[o]w being weak in Body but
of good & perfect Memory thanks be to Almighty God and calling to
remembrance the uncertaine Estate of this Transitory life and that all flesh
must yeild unto Death when it shall please God to call, Doe make constitute
ordaine & Declare, this my last Will & Testam[en]t in manner and forme follow=
=ing revoking & annulling by these presents all former Testam[en]t & Testam[en]ts
Will & Wills by me heretofore made & declared either by word or by writeing
And this be taken only for my last Will & Testam[en]t and none other;
And first being penitent & Sorry from the bottom of my heart for my Sins
past, most humbly desiring forgiveing for the same, I Give & Comitt my
soul unto Almighty God my Saviour & Redeember, in whom & by the
meritts of Jesus Christ, I trust & believe assuredly to be saved and have
full remission & forgiveness of all my Sins, And that my Soul with my
Body at the generall day of Resurrection, Shall rise againe with Joy
and through the meritts of Christ's Death & passion possess and Inheritt
the Kingdome of Heaven, prepared for his Elect of chosen, And my body
to be buried in Such place, where it shall please my Executor herenamed
to Appoint, And now for the Setling of my Temporall Estate, and such
goods, Chattles & Debts as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me Doe ordr
Give & bestow the Same in manner & forme following (That is to Say)
First I Will that all those Debts & duties as I owe in right or conscience
to any manner of p[er]sons whatsoever, Shall be well & truly
contented & paid or ordained to be paid within one year after my
Decease, by my Executor hereafter named, Item I Give & Bequeath
unto Barbara Markham Widd[o]w Relict of my Eldest Son Matthew
Markham Clerke & to Daniell Markham my Grandchild All my
Suite of Damaske Linnen bound up together in a Trunk, Alsoe I
doe Give unto my said Daughter Barbara my Silk Mowhaire
petticoate Item I Give unto Charles George Markham my son five Pounds
in money if there shall remaine Soe much So much [duplication] of my Estate
after the Necessary Charges of my Funerall Item I Give unto Daniell
Markham my Son Tenn Pounds in money Upon Condicon that He
Give a generall Release unto Barbara Markham my Daughter in
Law & Executrix hereafter named of all & all manner of Actions Suits
Quarrells, Debts, Duties, Bonds, or demands whatsoever from or by
reason of the last Will & Testam[en]t of my husband Matthew Markham
Esq. Deceased Item I Give unto Anne Markham my grandchild all
my linnen w[hi]ch lay in the lower part of my great Trunk parted by a
Napkin Item I Give unto Martha Markham my grandchild that
parcell of linnen w[hi]ch lay in the upper part of the s[ai]d Trunk Item I Give
unto Daniell Markham my Son my silver Tankard a Silver Cup and
two Silver Spoones Item I Give unto Charles George Markham a little
Silver Cup & two Silver Spoones Item I Give unto Anne Markham my
Grandchild my silver saly & a Couple of Silver Spoones Item I Give
unto Daniell Markham my Grandchild my high Silver wine Cup &
two Silver Spoones Item I Give unto Martha Markham my Grand=
