Anna's will passed probate on 12 April 1609.[1]

This is a transcription of the register copy of the will of Anne Greenway (abt.1564-) /Anne Stileman widow of Wanting (Wantage) Berkshire . Anne drew up her will on 19 April 1608 and it was proved at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on 12 April 1609

In the name of god amen. The ninetenth day of Aprill
Anno Domini A Thousand six hundred and eight: I Anne Stileman of
Wanting in the countie of Berks widow Late wief of Richard Stileman
deceased although weake and sick in body yet of good and perfect memorie
praysed be god Doe make and ordayne this my last will and Testament in
manner and forme following.

Fyrst I bequeath my soule to the handes of
Almighty God my savio[ur] and redeemer by whose passion and bloud shedding
I hope only bto be saved And my body to be buryed in the church of Wanting

two candlesticks and a fryeing pan

wholly and absolutely give devise and bequeath to my sonne Robert Stileman whom
I doe nominate consitute and appoynt to be my sole Execut[or] of this my last
will and Testament

Item I doe nominate and ordyane John Snodham and Thomas
Clement my neighboures to be Supervis[ors] and Overseers to see that this my
last will and Testament be only and truly fulfilled and performed according to
my true intent purpose and meaning.

In witness wherof I the above named Anne
Stileman have sette my hande the day and yeare first above specifyed, The
marke of Anne Stileman. Witnesses at the publishing reading and declaring
