This is a transcription of the register copy of the Will of Anthony Rodney Buckeridge of Ware, Hertfordshire, England. It was written on 25 August 1734 and proved at London on 20 March 1735. [1][2]

Anthony Rodney
Buckeridge

In the Name of God Amen
I Anthony Rodney Buckeridge of Ware in the County of
Hertfordshire Esquire being sick and infirm in body but of sound and
disposing mind memory and understanding (praised be God for the
same) do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in
manner and form following Imprimis I recommend my Soul into
believing thro the Merits Death and Passion of my blessed Saviour
and Redeemer Jesus christ to have free Pardon and Remission
of all my Sins and to inherit eternal Life And my Body I remit
to the Earth to be decently but privately buried by my Executrix
hereinafter named in the Chancell at Ware near unto the
Communion Table And as touching such Temporal Estate as it
hath pleased God to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof
as followeth viz.t

Imprimis Igive devise and bequeath unto my
dearly beloved Wife Anne Buckeridge All those my four Shares
of and in the River Avon in the County of Somerset To hold the
same unto my said Wife Anne her Heirs and Assigns for ever.

Item I give devise and bequeath unto my said Wife Anne All
that my Messauge or Farm House called Penrose situate in
the Parish of Lyons hall in the County of Hereford will all the
Lands and Appurtenances thereunto belonging To hold the same
unto her my said Wife for and during the Term of her naturall
Life and from and immediately after her decease I give devise
and bequeath the said Farm called Penrose and every part
thereof with the Appurtenances unto my Son Lewis Buckeridge
his Heirs and Assigns forever

Item I give devise and bequeath
unto my said Wife Anne Buckeridge All that my Estate and

Land held by Lease of Trinity College in Cambridge situate
in the Parish of Ware in the County of Hertford To hold the
same unto my said Wife for and during the Term of her natural
life And from and immediately after her decease I give devise
and bequeath the same and every part thereof witht he Appurt[enance]s
unto my said Son Lewis Buckeridge his Heirs and Assigns for
ever

And Whereas I have by certain Articles and Agreements
made and entred into by me before my Marriage with my said
Wife settled surrendred and assured unto and to the use of my
said Wife All that my Copyhold Messuage called the Parsonage
situate in the said Town of Ware with the Malting Land
Hereditaments and Appurtenance belonging tot he same To hold
the same unto my said Wife for and during the Term of her
natural life Now I do hereby ratify and confirm the said
settlement And so hereby give devise and bequeath the same
and every part thereof unto my said Wife Anne for and during
the Term of her natural life And from and immediately after
her decease I give devise and bequeath the same unto my said
Son Lewis his Heirs and Assigns for ever

Item I give devise
and bequeath unto my said Wife Anne for and during the
Term of her natural life All those Two Messuages or
Tenements situate in Fleet Street London which are Leasehold
And from and after her decease I give devise and bequeath
the same nuto my said Son Lewis his Executors Administrators
and Assigns to do with and dispose thereof as he shall think
proper.

Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughters Margaret
Mabella Buckeridge and Elizabeth Buckeridge the Sums of Two
Thousand pounds a peece of lawfull Money of Great Britain
to be paid to them respectively at their respective Ages of One
and twenty years

item All the Rest Residue and Remainer
of Reall and Personall Estate Plate Linnen Jewells and Effects
whatsoever I give devise and bequeath unto my said Wife
Anne Buckeridge her Executors Administrators and Assigns to
do with and dispose of as she shall think proper And I do hereby
Constitute and appoint my said Wife Sole Executrix of this my
Will hereby revoking and making void all former Wil and
Wills by me at any time heretofore made

And I do hereby
nominate and appoint Ralph Allen of the City of Bath Gentlemn
to be Guardian or Trustee for all such of my Children as shall
be living at the time of my decease

In Witness whereof I the
said Anthony Rodney Buckeridge the Testator to this my last
Wil and Testament contained and written in two sheets of paper
have sett my hand to each sheet thereof and to the last sheet
thereof have put my Seal this Twenty fifth day of August One
Thousand Seven hundred and thirty four. . Ant:o Rodney
Buckeridge./. Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said
Anthony Rodney Buckeridge the Testator as and for his last
Will and Testament int he presence of us who have hereunto
set our hands as Witnesses thereunto in his presence and at his

Probate
This Will was proved at London on the
Twentieth day of March in the year of Our Lord One Thousand
Seven hundred and Thirty four before the Worshipfull John
Andrew Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipfull John
Bettesworth Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the
Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath
of Anne Buckeridge the Widow and Executrix named in the said
Wil To whom was granted Administration of all and singular the
Goods Chattells and Credits of the said deceased she being first
sworn duly to administer the same./. Ex:d
