In the name of God Amen
I Charity Lee of Newington in the County of Surrey Widow being
of perfect mind and disposing memory Do make this my last Will and
Testament in manner following
First I bequeath my Soul to God
that gave it me hopeing for a joyfull resurrection in and through the
sole merits and mediation of my Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ
My body to the ground to be decently buried by my Executors
hereafter named in the Church of Newington aforesaid And I
desire to be laid in the grave of my late husband Mr Lee And I
give to the poore of Newington aforesaid ten pounds

to my daughter Jane Mitchell the wife of Mr John Mitchell
nine hundred pounds to make up her fortune given by her father
fifteen hundred pounds
Item I give her my said daughter
Mitchell my Necklace of pearls my Diamond Ring my gold
Spoon a hundred broad pieces which I have by me in a purse and
all my silver plate wahtsoever not hereafter disposed of by this
my Will
Item I give to my Grandchild Charity Eldred the
ffourteen pounds a year which I have put into the Exchequer
for her life
Item I give my said Grandchild Charity Eldred three
hundred pounds in money my lesers? pair of Silver Candlestick
my lesers Salvar my Tea pott a Silver porringer my little silver
Cup a dozen of Silver Spoones and my old Silver plate

to my son James Lee and his Assignes the fourteen pounds a year
which I put into the Exchequer for his life

James Lee his Ecec[utors] and Assignes all my right title and INterest
in all the Lands I have in Somersetshire To have and to hold to
him his Executors and Assignes for all the residue of my term
[illegible] therein unexpired which Land is mortgaged to me for ninety

nine years or some such term and I have let out the same to Mrs
Magdalen Ash for a term of year rendering a small Rent determined
on three lives then in being
Item I give to my son John Eldred one
hundred pounds and to his wife fifty pounds and to his daughter
Dorothy Eldred and son John Eldred twenty pounds a piece

give to my son Lancelot Lee twenty pounds and to my son Thomas
Lee twenty pounds and to my friend Lancelot Baughten pounds

my further will is that my household linen be divided by two indifferent
persons one halfe whereof which my said daughter Mitchell shall choose
I give to her and halfe the other moiety I give my Grandchild Charity
Eldred and the remaining moiety I give to my said daughter Mitchell
Item I give all the rest and residue of my Estate both reall and personall
to my said daughter Jane Mitchell and my said Grandchild
Charity Eldred And I do make my said daughter Mitchell in her own
right and my son John Eldred in trust for his daughter Charity
Eldred Executors of this my last Will and Testament And I do herevy
revoke all former Wills by me made In witness whereof I have
herunto set my hand and Seal the Sixteenth Day of November in the
year of our Lord One thousand Six hundred ninety five Charity
Lee Signed Sealed published and delivered as the last Will and
Testament of the aforesaid Mrs Lee the words aforesaid by my
said daughter Mitchell Mitchell being first interlined in the presence
of us all then subscribing our names in the said Mrs Lees presence
