In the Name of God, Amen, I Corbetta Picton of the Parish of St Maries in Pembrook, Widow, being sick in body and yet of sound disposing memory and understanding do make this my last Will and Testament.
First, I recommend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God, hoping through the merits of his only son Jesus Christ to have full pardon of all my sins, and as to my body I desire it may be privately buried without any funeral pomp or ceremony in the Churchyard of St Maries in Pembrook in or near the vault called the Meyricks Vault, and to be carried from my house to the grave by eight poor people who are each of them to have eight shillings for their trouble.
And as to my worldly estate with which it hath pleased God to bless me, I give, dispose and bequeath the same in manner following:
I give and bequeath unto my nephew, John Holcombe, the sum of two hundred pounds due to me by Bond from Essex Marychurch Meyricke Esq, in trust to be paid by him unto my niece, Jane Meares, the daughter of Hawkwell Meares Esq, and all the interest becoming due from the said two hundred pounds to be laid out yearly towards the maintenance and education of the said Jane Meares.

I give and bequeath unto Corbetta the daughter of the said Essex and Dorothy Holcombe the sum of fifty pounds, which sum of fifty pounds shall be paid into the hands of her mother at the end of twelve months after my decease for the use of the daughter and her receipt to my executor shall be a sufficient discharge to him for the payment of the same.
I give to my niece Dorothy Holcombe my two best velvet mantels and hoods and my best fan and my best laced linen.
As to all my other clothes of all sorts, I give and bequeath them to my servant Elizabeth Roach
I give and bequeath to my niece Alice Holcombe twenty pounds
I give and bequeath to my nephew George Holcombe twenty pounds.
I give and bequeath to my nephew John Powell twenty pounds.
I give and bequeath to my niece Jane Bowen the daughter of James Bowen the sum of thirty pounds to be paid to her father for her use at the end of twelve months after my decease, and his receipt to my Executor shall be a sufficient discharge for the payment of the same.
I give and bequeath to the poor of the parish of St Maries in Pembrook the sum of ten pounds.
I give and bequeath to my servant Morrice Price three pounds to be paid him at the end of two months after my decease.
All other the aforementioned legacies I direct and will to be paid at the end of twelve months after my decease, except the two hundred pounds given in trust for my niece Jane Meares which I direct and will to be paid her at the age of eighteen years or if she marry before that age.
All the rest residue and remainder of my estate of what nature or kind soever I give devise and bequeath unto my said nephew John Holcombe and do make and constitute him the said John Holcombe my Executor to this my last Will and Testament
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and forty one.
Signed, sealed, pronounced, published and declared by the said Corbetta Picton to be her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto set our hands in her presence and at her request
