In Dei Nom’ Amen I Dame Kateryn Lady Huddesfeld Widow beyng of hole myne and p’fite remembrance the xxjst daye of the moneth of Novembre the seconde yere of the reigne of Kyng Henry the viijth [transcriber 1510] ordein and make my will and testament in forme folowng
First I bequth my sould to Almighty god and to our blessed Lady and to all the company of hevyn my body to be buried in the church of the grayefriers of Exeter before seynt Frances before the highe Aulter in the same churche. Also I bequeth to the warden of the seid honer and place x marks And I will that the wardein of the same place cause one of the friers of the same place to saye one masse dayly at the seid Aulter for the soule of me the seid Katryn by the space of vij yeres dayly havyng takyng and [preyvyng?] of myy executors yerly durying the seid vij yeres vij marks Also I gyve and bequeth my gowne of blak velvett to the warden of the seid place of Graye Friers And also I will that myn Executors immediatly after my decease do cause to be saide by honest prest the Long and hole trentall for me the seid Katryn and [preyvyng] for the same trentall x [ transcriber: trentall a series of 30 masses. Item I will that the churchwardens of Bradeforde in Wiltshire have my wryton masse booke to praye for the soule of me and of Thomas Rogers somtyme my husband and Sergeant at lawe. Also I will that there be a stone laide uppon hym my seid husbande at Bradeforde aforseid.
Item I will that my doughter Elizabeth Poyntz have all suche stuffe as remayneth in my place of Birtport [transcriber: Bridport,name used by Camden 1610) in the Countie of Dors’t as in a bill made and published by me is specified and or declared so that the seid Elizabeth and her husband Antony Poyntz clerly make or do to be made a [gei-all?] acquytance to the executors of me the seid Kateryn of all [amounts?] suets and demands And that the seid Anthony and Elizabeth and none of them their executours nor assignes vex trouble sue myn executors or any of them. And yf that they or any of them do contrary to that my will that they then I will and frely gyve all the seid stuff to my sonne George.
Also I gyve and bequeth to William Rogers of Bradford aforseid gentleman sonne to the seid Thomas a standyng cuppe of sylver and gilt with a cover with dragon wyngs. And to his brother John Rogers a flat cup of silver white with a cover of myn owne armes.
Also I will and bequeth to Kateryn one of the daughters of George Rogers my sone xx marks in money.
Also I bequeth to John [Cotte-eff] yls
The residue I gyve and bequeth to George Rogers my sonne [,] Edward Rogers sonne and heire apparent to the seid George and Elizabeth Rogers doughter to the same George whome I ordeyn and make my executors to the p’fprmance of this my last will and testament. Note only year of probate given in latin probate clause. The National Archives states February 1514. The next will in the book has a February 1514 date. This would be 1514/1515 .The National Archives also has 2 IPM records for the year April 1515-1516 for Kathatine Huddesfeld of Devon
