In the name of God, Amen. -- I David Harry of the District of Marlborough in the State of South Carolina, considering the uncertainty of this Mortal life and being of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be Almight God for the same, do make do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say.
- First: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Crosland one negro boy named John
- I do also give and bequeath unto my eldest son David H Harry one negro man named George
- I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary H Harry one negro boy named Jim
- I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Gains Harry one negro boy named Sharper
- I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann D Harry one negro boy named Prince
- I also give and bequeath unto my son James Enoch Harry one negro girl named Nance
- I also give and bequeath unto my Eleanor Jane Harry one negro boy named Harry
- I also give and bequeath unto my son John Hamilton Harry one negro girl named Lynda
- I also give and bequeath unto my son Wilfred Alfred Harry one negro girl named Lassey, and the whole of the land and plantation whereon I now reside
- And I do also give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Harry two negroes named Phillis and Jerry also all my household furniture, stock of cattle, Horses Hogs & etc during her natural life at at her decease the said two negores Phillis and Jerry with the whole of my Household furniture, stock of horses cattle etc to be equally divided between my three sons, James Enoch, John Hamilton and William Alfred Harry
- And I do hereby appoint Tristram Thomas Sen'r and John Thomas Jr Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
- In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the ninth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen.
- Signed, Sealed, published and declared by the above named David Harry to be his last will & testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the Testator

- Personally appeared before me Morgan G Brown who being duly sworn on the Holy Evangilist of Almighty God doth make oath and say that the same David Harry sign, seal publish pronounce and declare this same to be and contain his last will and testament, that he the said David Harry was then of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of the deponent's knowledge and belief and that Charles S Strother and Aaron Pearson, together with this deponent signed their names as witnesses thereto at the request of the testator, in his presence and in the presence of each other
- At the same time Qualified, Mary Harry administratrix and David H Harry administrator with the will annexed
- Given under my hand and seal this sixth day of Juy in the year the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen
