In the name of God Amen. I Edward Booth of Deal County being sick & weak yet of sound & perfect memory…
I give & bequeath unto Mr. John Kiphaven son John half of my land & plantation
I give and bequeath unto John Depree & his son Jacob Depree the other half of my land and plantation…if he the said John Depress should dye before his son Jacob comes to age, then it is my will that Andrew Depree shall keep his moiety of land…until Jacob Depree [comes of age].
I give to John Kiphaven all the goods that is in my house.
I give to John Wittman one old sow.
I give unto Elizabeth Wittman two young hens & a cock.
I give unto Martha Kiphaven one young sow which came of that old sow.
I order 300 lbs of tobacco to be pd to Mr. Avery for surveying the land out of tht 399 lb of tobacco which is due to me from John Oakey.
I give to Wm Emmatt Junr one gristled sow bought of John Hacket
I order my great Barrow to be kill’d at my funeral. I order to be paid to Mathias Everson for 50d of tobacco that I owe him my whitefaced barrow.
I order Mr. John Kiphaven to pay 600 lb tobacco to Mr Norton Claypoole.
I order that John Kiphaven & Jacob Depree shall pay partly something toward maintaining the widows & fatherless children of this county...
I order Mr. John Kiphaven & John Depree to pay for the patten [patent] of my land[,] each of them his part to this I own to be my last will & testament … 7 December 1682 – Edward Booth [his mark]
