and sixtene I Edward Frost of Stansted in the countye of Suff  clothier being
of good and perfect remembrance thanks be given to allmightye god, do ordayne
and make this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge re=
vokinge and disannullinge all other wills formerlye by me made Firstly I bequeth
my Soule into the hands of allmighty god And my Body to be buried in Christian
buriall where it shall seem good to myne executrix hereafter named.
Item I give
unto the poore people of Stansted Fortye shillings to be distributed unto them w[i]thin
shorte tyme after my decease at the discreac[i]on of myne executrix.

bequeathe unto Thomasine my welbeloved wief all my Howses and Landes in Stansted
both free and coppye w[i]th theire app[u]rtenn[an]ces for terme of hir naturall lief And after hir
decease I give the sayd Howses and Landes w[i]th theire app[u]rten[an]ces unto Will[ia]m Frost
my Sonne and to his heires forev[er] uppon condic[i]on that the sayd Will[ia]m Frost my
Sonne doe paye or cause to be payde unto my Five daughters Twoe hundred & fourtye

age of eightene yeares.
Item I give and bequeathe unto Edward Rice sonne of my daught[e]r
Elizabeth Rice and my Godsonn Tenn poundes to be payde by myne executrix at his age of
one and twenty yeares.
All the rest of my Goodes Chattells debts creditts and ready monye
whatsoev[er] unbequeathed I give them wholly unto Thomasine my welbeloved wief towards
the payment of my debts and Legacies and discharge of Funerall expenses.
And I ordayne
and make the sayd Thomasine my wief my sole executrix of this my last will & testam[en]t
In wittnes whereof I have herento sett my hande and seale the daye and yeare firste

Probate [in Latin] The above written will was proved at London before the Venerable John Benet knight and Doctor of Laws of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury Presiding at a Commission constituted on the fourth day of October AD 1616. Judgement given to Thomasine Frost the widow of the said deceased and executrix named in the said will having sworn on the Holy Saints of God. to well and truly administer all and singular the right goods and credits of the said deceased
