This is a transcript of the will of Edward Wynne, gent, of Vivod in the parish of Llangollen, Denbighshire, Wales. His will was dated 5 February 1669/70 and probate was granted at Oswestry on 12 April 1670.

Transcript

Memorandum That upon or about the fifth day of February in
the yeare of our Lord God one thousand sixe hundred sixtie &
and nyne, Edward Wynne of Vyvod in the parish of Llangollen
and Dioces of St Asaph gent: late deceased being sicke in
body yet of good and sound sence and memory (god by praysed)
made published & declared his last will & testament paroll
or nuncupative in manner & forme following (vizt) Imprimis
hee gave & bequeathed unto his daughter in law Jane v[erch] John David
widowe the sume of three pounds and fourteene shillings and
eight pence of lawfull money out of the sume of 5li 8s which his
sonne Willia[m] Wynne then owed him; And hee gave the
residue of the said 5li 8s to the said William Wynne towards some
costs of suite that was then due to him the said William from
the said Jane, Item hee gave & bequeathed unto Anne, Margret
and Grace Wynne the three daughters of the said Jane
all his sheepe that was then in the custody or keepeing of
the said Jane; Item hee gave to his said daughter in lawe
Jane vch John David his twoe oxen, Item hee gave to his
sonne Robert Wynne all his implements of husbandry
Item hee gave and bequeathed to his sonne in law Edward
Williams an ould Cowe and a horse, Item hee gave
to his grandchilde Joyce Wden[?], twoe young kyne, Item
hee gave to each one of his grandchildren xijd a peece
except onely to the three daughters of the said Jane vch John David
& to the yellow=head grandchilde; Item hee gave to John Samuell one
Sheep, Item hee gave & bequeathed all the rest & residue of
His goods to his daughter Dorothy and to his grandchilde Joyce
the daughter of his sonne Thomas Wynne, & Jane vch John dd,
And afterwards departed this transitory life; Wittnesse here[…]
