In the Name of God Amen - I Elizabeth Brooks late wife of
Thomas Brooks of Blaby Deceased being ^in perfect Helth mind and
memory do make this my last will and Testament, First I Bequeath
my Soul to God hopeing his most Greacious acceptance of it. next my
Body to the earth to be Buried at the Discreation of my Exectors
hereafter named. the Rest of my worldly Goods to be disposed as is
Named, Imprimus I give to my first son Jos[eph] Brooks the Clock and
the rack in the House where I now live. A Coffer and Cubard
To my next son Tho[ma]s Brooks. Item I give to my Daughter Anne
Marston A Large Crockpott an Oake Drawers Do Box awool
bed one Blanket one feather Piller and Two pounds in Money Item
to Mary Martain A Half headd Bedsted with the Bedding here nam[e]d
A wool bed. two Tables. A Dresser. three puter dishes. four plates. A
Fryinpan. Do Warmingpan. A Land Iorn: fireShovel & tongues. A fend[e]r &
pott hooks. A Small Crock pot. Do pan : Eight Chaires. An Oake Chest
Dough kimdale[2]: Milk pail. A Barrel. A Lookinglass. A Small Bedst[e]d
A Bible. Six Trench[e]rs. A flaskett. A Small tub. A Beeffork. and Ten
pounds in money. Item I give to my D[aughte]r Grace Oarton a Tester Bed
Stead and Curtains thereto belongin with, A wool Bed & Bolster one
Blanket: A flaskett A middletub. (A Two hand wheel to Eliz[a]b[et]h Barton)
Item I give A mash tub for all their useis. I Likewise Desire. that my
Son Tho[ma]s Brooks be my Excectiter to see this my last will be Executed
and to Buery me Decently and Set a Gravestone. at my head with An
inScription thereon. and to Defray his Charge I give five pounds
the rest of my money (if any left) I give to Each of my Children an
Equal Share. Sign[e]d by me. July 10 in the third year of the Regin of our
most Greacious Soveran Lord King George. the third in the year of
our Lord on thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty three
