This is the last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth
Fells of the Town and Borough of Deal in the County of Kent widow
but an now residing in Hyde Place Hoxton in the County of Middlesex
I direct that my household furniture wearing apparel plate linen and
china may be equally divided between my daughter Ann Lewis the
wife of Edward Lewis of Hyde Place aforesaid Surgeon and my grand-
daughter Esther Jones Hayward the only daughter of my late daughter
Mary Hayward deceased to whom I also give my metal watch
I give
unto my sister Esther Smith widow the sum of fifty pounds sterling also
I give unto my sister in law Lydia Wellard the wife of Richard Wellard
of Deal aforesaid the sum of nineteen guineas also
I give unto my sons
in law James Hayward and Edward Lewis the like sum of nineteen
guineas each all which legacies I direct to be paid within six months
next after my decease
I give and bequeath unto my said grand-daughter
Esther Jones Hayward all that my messuage or tenement with the
appurtenances thereto belonging situate in prospect Row Deal aforesaid
and now in the occupation of the said James Hayward to hold the
same unto my said grand-daughter her executors administrators and
assigns
I give and bequeath unto my friends Samuel Tyler of
Goldsmith Place .... Road in the County of Middlesex Gentleman and
Edward Darby of Deal aforesaid Gentleman my Trustees and Executors herein
after appointed the sum of ten pounds each for the trouble they may
have in the execution of this my will and as to all the rest and residue of
my estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or

kind soever I give and bequeath unto the said Samuel Tyler and Edward
Darby to hold to them the said Samuel Tyler and Edward Darby their
executors administrators and assigns upon trust if they shall think
proper to sell and dispose of such part thereof as shall not consist of
money and also call in and receive all such debts sum or sums of money
as shall be due or owing to me at the time of my decease and place the
monies arising by such sale and the monies to be called in upon
Government or other sufficient security in their own names upon trust to
receive the rents and profits interest dividends and other proceeds become
due and payable and pay one moiety thereof unto my said daughter
Ann Lewis during her life or to such person or persons as she shall
by any note or writing under her hand from time to time but not by
way of anticipation appoint to receive the same to the intent that the
same may be for the sole and separate use of my said daughter and in
case my said son in law shall survive my said daughter then in trust
to pay the same unto my said son in law for and during the term of
his natural life and from and after the decease of the survivor of them
upon trust to divide the said moiety of the said trust monies and premises
unto and equally amongst all and every the child and children of my
said daughter Ann Lewis share and share alike when and as they shall
severally attain the age of twenty one years and if there shall be but
one such child ^+ of my said daughter shall live to attain a vested
^then the whole
to such child and
in case no child
interest in the said trust monies and premises then I direct my said
Trustees to stand and be possessed thereof upon the same trusts as are
hereinafter declared of and concerning the remaining moiety of the afores[ai]d
trust estates monies and premises uon trust to pay the rents and profits
interest dividends and other proceeds thereof unto my said grand-
daughter Esther Jones Hayward for and during the term of her
natural life or to such person or persons as she shall by any note
or writing under her hand from time to time but not by way of
anticipation appoint to receive the same to the intent that the same
may be for the sole and separate use of my said granddaughter and
not subject to the debts control or engagements of any husband she
may marry and from and after the decease of my said grand-daughter
upon trust to divide the said moiety of the said trust monies & premises
unto and equally amongst all and every the lawful child and children
if any of my said grand-daughter share and share alike when and as
they shall respectively attain the age of twenty one years and if there
shall be but one such child then the whole to such child and in case
there shall be no child of my said grand-daughter who shall live to attain
a vested interest in the said trust monies and premises then upon the
same trusts ^as are hereinbefore contained with respect to the other moiety
in favor of my said daughter Ann Lewis and my son in law Edward
Lewis and their children
And I do hereby authorize and empower my
said trustees to apply the whole or a competent part of the rents interest
and dividends aforesaid for and towards the maintenance and education
of the children of my said daughter and grand-daughter until they shall
attain the age of twenty one years in such manner as my said Trustees
shall think fit and as to all my ^said leasehold messuages or tenements and
premises not hereinbefore bequeathed I do hereby authorize and empower
my trustees or administrators or the trustees for the time being in case
the shall think proper to make sale of either by public auction or
private contraact and upon payment of the purchase money to sign and
giv eproper receipts for the same which receipts I do hereby declare shall

be good and effectual discharges tot he purchase or purchases thereof
and that they shall not be answerable for any loss or misapplication
thereof provided always and I do hereby declare that it shall and may be
lawful to and for my said Trustees and Executors to reimburse themselves
all costs and expenses which they may incur or be put unto in the execution
of the trusts of this my will and that each of my said Trustees and Executors
shall be charged and chargeable only with his own respective receipts
payments and and wilful defaults nor shall the be answerable for any loss
or damage which may happen without their respective wilful defaults and
lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said Samuel Tyler
and Edward Darby Trustees and Executors of this my Will hereby revoking and
making void all former Wills by me made and declare this to be my last
Will and Testament In witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament
contained in three sheets of paper set my hand to the first two sheets and
my hand and seal to this the third and last sheet thereof the sixth day
of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty

Proved at London 5th May 1824 before the Judge by the oaths of Edward
Darby & Samuel Tyler the Executors to whom Admon was granted have

Danbery Dr of Laws & Surr[ogat]e & the said Edward Darby by Canon duly to Adm
