Will of Frances (Wynn) Soame (bef.1738-1809)
This is a transcription of the register copy of the Will of Frances Soame of Henrietta Street, Cavendish Square, Marylebone, Middlesex, England. It was written on 10 May 1804 and proved at London on 4 May 1809. [1]

Frances Soame

In the Name of God Amen
I Frances Soame of Henrietta Street Cavendish Square
in the Parish of Saint Marylebone in the County
of Middlesex Widow being of sound mind and memory
do revoke and make void all former Wills whatsoever
by me heretofore made and do make and ordain
this to be my last Will and Testament in manner
following (that is to say)

I give devise and bequeath
Subject to the payment of my Just Debts and Funeral
Expenses all that Leasehold Messuage or Tenement
with the Appurtenances thereto belonging in
Henrietta Street aforesaid and which I now occupy
for and during all the residue and remainder of the
several terms of years which shall be therein to come
and unexpired at the time of my decease And all the
rest and residue of my Estates of whatever nature
or kind whatsoever whether real or personal
whereof I shall be any ways seized of interested in
or entitled to at the time of my decease unto my
beloved Niece Brydget Perceval for her sole and
separate

separate use and benefit independent of her present
or any future Husband with full and absolute power
to dispose of the same as she may think proper

my desire is to be buried in the most private
manner possible in the Family Vault in the
Parish Church of Little Thurlow in the County of
Suffolk and placed near the remains of my Husband
and Child there

I forbear to recommend the Comfort
and Happiness of my Dear Sister to the Care of
my said beloved Niece being perfectly well assured
that her nature and disposition would render
such recommendation altogether unnecessary

And I
do hereby appoint my said beloved Niece Brydget
Perceval sole Executrix of this my last Will and
Testament

In Witness whereof I the said Frances
Soame have hereunto set my hand and Seal
this tenth Day of May in the year of our Lord
Eighteen hundred and four Frances Soame (SS)
Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said
Frances Soame the Testatrix as and for her last Will
and Testament in the presence of us who at her
request and in her presence and in the presence
of each other have hereunto subscribed our Names
as Witnesses Dorothy Wynn /—/ Mary Batty /—/
George Henry Adcock ./.

This Will was proved at London on the
fourth Day of May in the year of our Lord One
thousand Eight hundred and nine before the Right
Honorable Sir John Nicholl Right Doctor of Laws
Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative
Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath
of the Right Honorable Brydget Viscountess
Perceval Wife of the Right Honorable John
commonly called Viscount Perceval of that part of
the United Kingdom called Ireland the Niece of the
deceased and Sole Executrix named in the said Will
to whom Administration was granted of all and
singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said
deceased she having been first sworn by Commission
duly to Administer / ~
