- I, Henry Burrow of Anderson Dist. being well in health and of sound and disposing mind and memory, etc.
- First I desire my executors to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses.
- I give to my beloved wife Amy the following property, three negroes, namely Isaac, Lila, and Wilson, four head of horses, two mules, one waggon, and riding chair, all my ready money, notes, and book accounts, household and kitchen furniture, livestock, set of black smith tools, one rifle gun, two shot guns, one brass pistol.
- I give to Nancy Langston, one Negro, named Steven, one sorrel mule, all other property. I have already given her, and $100 in ready money.
- I give to my dtr, Rebecca Holliday, one Negro, girl, name, Chainy, and $100 in ready money, with all the other property I have given her.
- I give to my dtr, Amy Gray one Negro named Dolley, one wagon, one still, and $100 in ready money, with all other property I have already given her.
- I give to my son, Henry Burrow, one negro, girl, named Mary, $100 in ready money, with all the other property I have already given him.
- I give to my son, Lewis Burrow, three negroes namely Sam, Jefferson, and Clary, $100 in ready money with all other property. I have already given to him.
- I give to my son, Thomas Burrow, four negros namely, Levi, Jack, Roda, Toney, and 250 acres of land where I now live at his mother death, and $100 and ready money, and a young colt.
- I give to my dtr Tabitha Burrow five negroes namely Jinny, Darky, Emely, Atrer and Anthony with $100 in ready money.
- I give my son, William Burrow, $ 2.00 and ready money, with all the other property I have already given him.
- I give my son Green Burrow, $ 2.00 and ready money, with all the other property I've already given him.
- I give to my dtr Susanna Gibson $ 2.00 in ready money with all all other property I have already given her
- I give to my dtr, Mary Harris, $ 2.00 in ready money, with all other property. I've already given her.
- I give to my son, Joel Burrow, $ 2.00 and ready money, with all other property I have already given him.
- It is my desire that my negro man named Isaac that I will to my wife be free at the death of my wife.
- I appoint Wm. Burrow my executrix. Dated 12 October 1829 [1]
