In the Name of God Amen.

I Isaac Guest of the County of Red River and State of Texas, being in feeble health but of sound mind and disposing memory, knowing the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death, and that it is appointed unto man once to die, do make, publish and ordain this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all aforesaid Wills by me made, commending my soul to God who gave it & desire that my body be buried in a decent Christian like manner.

1st I desire that all my just debts be paid.

2nd I desire that my old negro woman who has been a faithful servant shall not work any more and that she have Cynthia to take care of her and wait on her and that she also have Cyenna who is a cripple and has no use of herself, and that they live with Martin Guest.

3rd I give and bequeath to my son Martin Guest my negro man Levi.

4th I desire that my son Calvin Guest have my negro man Henry.

5th I desire that my daughter Rhoda Wheeler have my negro woman Sarah and her child Pete.

6th I desire that my daughter Betsy Becknell have my negro woman Martha and her (3) three children, Mary, Eliza and Henry.

7th I desire my Grandson Isaac Guest have my negro girl Susan.

8th I desire my Grandson James Scurry to have my negro man Pleasant.

9th I desire my two Grandsons, Isaac Guest and James S. Guest, have my homesead 640 acres to be divided among them equally.

10th I desire my son William Guest to have the tract [of] Land on which he lives consisting of 160 acres of Land.

I desire that the Pine Creek tract of land consisting of 333 acres and the proceeds applied to the payment of any debts, I desire that all my stock and other perishable property that has not been mentioned be sold.

11th I desire that my Grand daughter Mary Stephens have (500) Five Hundred Dollars after my debts are paid.

12th I desire that the balance of my Headright Certificate be sold and converted to the use of the heirs, or if the Certificate has been sold, the land to be sold. I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint Martin Guest my executor to manage my whole Estate and having all confdence in the honesty and integrity of my said son Executor, I do not require him to give bond.

I do not wish the County Court to have anything to do with my Estate farther than the probating of this. . . .

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this the 29th day of October 1861.
