Be it remembered that at a Court of Common Place Begiven and held at Lebanon in the County of Warren and State of Ohio On the Twelfth day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand and eight Hundred and twenty five the last Will and Testament of James Anderson is proven in open court by William Newell Aiefoe Helnick two of the Subscribing Witnesses to said will and the executor therein named are sworn in open Court and the Court appoint William Newel Senior William Spence and Colon Spence appraises of said Estate, which will in in the Words and of the tenor following to Wit In the Name of God Amen I James Anderson of County of Warren And State of Ohio Being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be to almighty God for the same do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in Manner and form following that is to say First I give and bequeath unto my Son Malcolm fifty area of Land off the South end of a tract of Land of upwards of one hundred acres purchased lately by me of William Lytto out the Salt Spring Tract So called during his natural life time and no longer and at the Death of the aforesaid Malcomb the land aforesaid I Next page 268 allow his son James to inherit if he be living but if he be not living then to go to the nearest heir secondly the Balance of the aforesaid tract of land I give and bequeath to my Son William by his paying out the two last gale which I care fore the said land supposed to be about eighty two Dollars but if the a:ignce of William Lytte Shouild not wait until my Son William should be enabled to make the aforesaid payments and recover it out of my personal property then and in that case I allow William to pay to my Son James the full amount so recovered thirdly I give and bequeath to my Son George the Home tract of land of Sixty acres which I purchased of Thomas Paxton in his lifetime by paying to my Son Warren One hundred and twenty dollars as soon as Warren arrives at the age of twenty one it is my wish that my son Warren be bound out to learn some trade such as he sees proper to show my son George bought a certain lott of me which I allow him to inherit as his own property fourthly I give to my Daugh- ter Elizabeth One Bed bekstead and bedding , one shed and her choice of all my Cows also one Coltand tow head of sheep which is her own property by her own purchased and to her Daughter Rebecca I give Fifteen Dollars to be paid out of the amount of my personal property the balance of my personal property I allow to be equally divid ed amongst my three Daughters and my Son James provided that if William should not pay the balance which I owe for the Land in that case I allow William to pay James the amount above stipulated and the three girls to have the Balance which will be left of the aforesaid personal property equally divided among them next page 269 except the sum of Ten dollars with all my wearing apparel both woolen and Linen which I give and be- queath to my Son John to do with as he may see fit. I also herby constitute my Son William K Theophilus Simen- ton my sole executor, of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made as Witnesses whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Seven- teenth day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty five.
