I James Devis of Edgbaston near
Birmingham in the County of Warwick Maltster hereby
revoke all Wills Codicils and other Testamentary dispositions
made by me at any time or times heretofore and
publish and declare this to be my last Will and
Testament First I will and direct that all my just
Debts Funeral and Testamentary expenses to be paid
by my Executors hereinafter named as soon as
conveniently may be after my decease I give and
bequeath unto my Son Thomas Devis the sum of
Twenty pounds and unto Mary the Widow of my
Son John Devis the sum of Ten pounds which
said Legacies I direct shall be paid at the expirations
of Six Calendar months after my decease And
as to all the rest and residue of my Personal Estate
and Effects of what nature or kind soever I give
and bequeath the same and every part thereof
unto my daughter Alice the wife of John Smith
of Birmingham aforesaid Innkeeper absolutely to
and for her own use and benefit Alice his wife Executor
and Executrix of this my Will In witness whereof
I the said Testor James Devis have to this my
last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal the
Thirteenth day of December One thousand eight
hundred and thirty one
