In the name of God amen, the twenty five day of July, Anno Domini 1713. I James Ford of Ockford Fitzpaine, do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following: First being penitent and sorry for all my sins, most humbly desiring forgiveness for the same I commend my soul unto Almighty God my Saviour and Redemer in whom and by whose merits, I trust and believe assuredly to be saved and to have full remission and forgiveness of all my sins and to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven and my Body, I commit to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named. And for the settling of my temporal estate and such Goods, chattels and Debts as it hath pleased God to bestowe upon me. I do order, give and bequeathe unto my son James Ford and his wife five shillings a piece and to my Grandson James Ford and Jane Ford twenty shillings a piece Item I give to my son Thomas Ford and his wife five shillings apiece and to my grandson, John Ford twenty shillings. Item I give to Richard Brickel and his wife five shillings a piece. Item I give to my son Nathaniel the leasehold estate which I live in which was formerly Farrs after his mothers death. Item I give to my loveing wife a house which I bought formerly Farrs and two Orchards, six beasts in [bensfled] , five score sheep pasture(d) upon the common down with all the Appurtenances belonging to it. Item I give to my loving wife the Rufus mead, the lives that are upon it. Thomas and Nathaniel Ford. Item I give to my wife the lease which I hold for W Bisson life. All the rest of my Goods, Chattles and Debts within doors and without I give to my loving wife Mary Ford, whom I doe make and ordaine to be my whole and sole executrix to receive all my debts and to pay my legacies and debts and I do give her power to dispose of my land at Shillingstone and lease and the lease of Rufus Mead. This is my will and Testament. Hereby revoking, disannulling and making void all other wills by me made, declaring this only to be my last will and testament I desire to have it fulfild, witness my hand and seal, the day and year above written Signed, sealed and published in double stampt paper James Ford
