I Jane Coverly of the parish of Saint Mary in Aldermanbury in the City of London/ Widow Do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First I Will that all my Debts and Funeral charges be fully paid
And I give and bequeath to my Daughter Sarah Hart all my Wearing Apparel and also my Watch and I Give and bequeath to my Son Charles Coverly all my household Goods and also all my Utensils in the Weaving Trade And all the Rest and Residue of my Goods Chattels and personal Estate of what kind nature or quality soever.
I give and bequeath in manner following that is to say One-full fourth part thereof the whole being Divided unto four equal parts I give and bequeath unto my Executors hereinafter In Trust that they pal?? the same out on Government Security or other Good security with the Consent of my said Daughter Sarah Hart and permitance suffer her my said daughter to receive from time to time the Dividends Interest and Profits thereof for her separate use during the Joint Lives of my said Daughter and her husband Thomas Hart and in case the said Thomas Hart shall happen to die before my said Daughter then I do order appoint my said Executors or the Survivor of them Executors or administrators to transfer and assign to my said Daughter the said one-fourth part of the said Residue or the Security of Securitys therewith purchased or planned out And my mind is that my said Daughter shall have power and is thereby empowered to Give the same to such person or persons and in such proportions as she shall think fit in case her said sons and shall survive her And if she makes no DIsposal thereof by Will or otherwise then I Give and bequeath the same to and amongst her children Share and Share alike and for want of such her children I Give and bequeath the same to and amongst my ??? other children share and share alike And one other full fourth part of the said Residue I give and bequeath unto my son George Coverly to be paid him his Executors or Administrators in manner following (that is to say) ???? yearly Sum of one hundred pounds until the whole shall be paid And one other full fourth part of the said residue I give and bequeath unto my Son Roger de Coverly to be paid him within Twelve Calendar Months after my decease. And one other full fourth part of the said Residue being the remainder I Give and bequeath unto my Son Charles Coverly And I do hereby nominate and appoint my said Sons Roger de Coverly and Charles Coverly Executors of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof the said Jane Coverly the Testatrix have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty nine ~~ Jane Coverly ~~ Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Jane Coverly the Testatrix to be her last Will and Testament in the presence of us. This Will was proved at London on the twenty second day of January in the year or our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and fifty nine before the Worshipfull James Marriott Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Edward Simpson also Doctor of Laws Master??? or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Roger de Coverly and Charles Coverly the Sons of the deceased and Executors name in the said Will to whom Administration was Granted of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased having been first sworn duly to administer.[1]
