I Jane Mayer of Farnham Royall in the County of Bucks Widow being sick
and weake of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be therefore
given to Almighty God Doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testam[en]t
in manner following Impr[im]is I give and bequeathe my soule into the hands of
Almighty God my most mercifull Creator trusting assuredly through the
merits of Jesus Christ my most gracious Redeemer to enjoy everlasting
life And my Body to the Earth to be decently buryed in the Parish
Church of Farnham Royall aforesaid And as for the Worldly estate
wherewith it hath pleased Almighty God to blesse me I give and bequeath
in manner following Impr[im]is I give and bequeath unto my Grandchild
Elizabeth Williamson Wife of Thomas Williamson the sum[m]e of Tenne pounds
lawfull English money and unto my Grandchild Edward Umfrevile Sonne
of my Sonne in Law Edward Umfrevile Esq[uire] the sum[m]e of Twenty pounds lawfull
English money and unto my three Grandchildren Judith Sarah and Richard
Sonne and Daughters of my Sonne in Law Thomas Winspeare Gent five
pounds apeice all which said Legacies or sumes of money herein before by me
me given I will shall not be paid by my Executrixes herein after named nor
they or either of them charged with the payment thereof but my mind and
will is that the same shall be paid and discharged by my said Sonne in Law
Edward Umfrevile out of such sume or summes of money of mine which hee
shall have in his hands at the time of my decease in manner following that
is to say The said Legacy or sume of money^

Sonne in Law Thomas Winspeare within the space of nine months
next after my decease And all and every sume and sumes of money
whatsoever of me the said Jane Mayer which my said sonne in Law
Edward Umfrevile shall have in his hands or may be in any manner
by him payable to me at the time of my decease over and above the said
sum[m]es of money or Legacies herein before by me given or bequeathed I
doe hereby give and bequeath unto and absolutely release him my said
Sonne in Law Edward Umfrevile Item I give and bequeath unto my
Daughter Katherine Winterflood fifteen broad Twenty shillings[3]
peices of ^old Gold and my Greene stone Ring with another Ring tyed to
it and my two silver Porringers Item I give and bequeath unto my
Daughter Judith Umfrevile Fifteene broad Twenty Shillings peices
of old Gold and my large Dyamond Ring which my Daughter Elizabeth
Mayer deceased did use to weare in her lifetime and six of my silver
Spoones Item I give and bequeath unto my said Grandchild Edward
Umfrevile foure broad twenty shillings peices of old gold and six of
my silver spoons my silver and guilt Tankard my Couch my Chest
of Drawer my greate Bible my Feather bed whereon I usually
lye and all my Bedding Blanketts and and other things thereunto
belonging and alsoe all my Chaires Stooles and Pictures and all other

my Goods whatsoever being in the Chamber wherein I usually lye and
alsoe my brasse fire shovell and tonges Item I give and bequeath unto
my Granddaughter Judith Gascoigne Daughter of my said Daughter
Judith Umfrevile three broad twenty shillings peices of old Gold Item
I give and bequeath unto my said Grandaughter Elizabeth Williamson
Three broad twenty shillings peices of old Gold and my silver Bowle
And I doe hereby declare that I am well pleased and contented
with the marryage betweene my said Neice Elizabeth Williamson
and her now Husband Thomas Williamson and that my will is that
shee my said Neice Elizabeth Williamson should receive noe
prejudice by her said marryage in her estate devised to her in or by
by the last Will and Testament of my said late Daughter Elizabeth
Mayer dec[eas]ed Item I give and bequeath the Black bearing cloth
which I bought for the use of my said late Daughter Elizabeth Mayers
Funerall unto the Churchwardens of the the said Parish of Farnham
Royall for the sole use and benefitt for the said Parish at Funeralls
there to be hereafter had And I make and ordaine my said Daughter
Katherine Winterflood and my said Daughter Judith Umfrevile
Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament In Witness where of
I the said Jane Mayer have to this my last Will and Testament
written in two sheets of paper affixed together sett my hand and
seale the seaven and twentieth Day of January in the six and
thirtyeth yeare of the reigne of our Sovereigne Lord Charles the second
by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King
Defender of the Faith &c Annoq[ue] D[omi]ni One thousand six hundred
eighty foure./ The mark of Jane Mayer. Signed sealed published
and declared by the above named Jane Mayer as her last Will
and Testament in the presence of Simon Peryman Richard Robins
Hannah Bass./ M[emoran]d[u]m That these words to witt Gent. named. nor
that is to say were in the last Will and Testament above written inter-
lined in severall places before publishing and declaring thereof.
