This is a transcription of the register copy of the will of Jerome Haydon (commonly Heydon), gentleman of London proved at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury. He wrote his last will on 2 January 1621/22 and it was proved at London on 22 January 1621/22. [1]

of the faith &c That is to saie of England France and Ireland the Nyneteenth
and of Scotland the five and fiftieth I Jerom Haydon of London gent Sonne
and heire of Jerom Heydon late Citizen and Iremonger of London deceased

beinge sicke and weake in bodye but of good and sounde minde and memorye (praised be god therefore)
calling to minde the uncertainty of this transitorie life Doe make and declare my last will and testament
in forme followinge That is to saie First I commend my soule unto Almighty god, hoping to be saved
an to enioy eternall rest and happines in his heavenly kingdome with the blessed company
of his elect through the only merrits deathe and passion of my only Saviour and Redeemer
Jesus Christ my mortall bodie I comitt to the earth in hope of a ioyfull resurrection the
buriall whereof I will shalbe in the Mercers Chappell in London And as touching the
devising and disposing of such goods and Chattles as god hath lent mee in this world I give
and bequeathe the same in manner and forme following That is to say First I give and
bequeathe unto my brother John Heydon the sume of One hundred pounds of lawfull
money of England
Item I give and bequeathe unto my three sisters Anne, Sara, and
Alice the sume of Fiftie poundes a peece of lawfull money of England Item I give
to my sister Dorathy the sume of Fortie poundes of like money Item I give to my sister Elizabeth
the sume of Thirtie pounds of lawfull money of England. Item I give to my brother in law
Mr Robert Cambell and his wife a Ringe of gould of thirtie shillings apeece and to
my nephews James Cambell and Thomas Cambell each of them a Ringe of the valew
of Twentie shillings a peece

value of Twentie shillings Item I give to John Harmer Five pounds Item I give to my
godsonne Jerom Price Tenn shillings Item I give to the two men servants and three
maide servants of the house five shillings a peece

and chattles w[i]thall debts childs part portion and legacies whatsoever to me due owing
or app[er]tayning by force and vertue of the last will and testament of my said late father
or by the Custome of the Cittye of London or otherwise howsoever I wholie give and
bequeathe unto my Deare and loving mother Agnes Haydon widow And I make and
ordaine her my said mother to be the sole and onely Executrix of this my last will and
testament Also this is the last will and Testam[en]t of mee the said Jerom Heydon concerning
the devising of all my lands tenements and hereditaments as followeth that is to saie
I give and bequeathe unto my said mother Agnes Heydon and to her heirs and
assignes for ever All and singular my messauges howses lands Tenements and heredi=
taments whatsover as well in the Cittie of London and suburbs thereof and in the
Countie of Lincoln and els where w[i]thin the Realme of England As also in Virginia
and the Somer Islands in the parts beyond the Seas To have and to and to [2]hould
all the said Messuages houses lands Tenem[en]ts and hereditaments unto my said mother
Agnes Heydon and to her heires & assignes To the only use and behoofe of the said
Agnes Heydon & of her heires and Assignes for ev[er] In witnes whereof I the said
