Will of Jesse Boon-273

In the name of God Amen. I Jesse Boon [??} of the County of Northampton and State of North Carolina. Being of this [?] [?] weak in body but of sound mind and memory thanks be to God. Calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all flesh once to die. As for the worldly good that it hath pleased God to bless me with. I give in the following manner and form.
Vis. Item 1st  I lend unto my beloved wife Vinca Boon one negro man named Jacob, also one negro woman named Clary and her increase, also one bed and furniture, also a negro girl named Eliza all of which I lend unto her during her natural life or widowhood. Then to be equally divided between Jesse Boon, Banford Boon, Mary Boon, Willie Boon and Anna Boon all of which are my sons and daughters to them and those heirs for ever.
Item 2nd.  I give unto my son William Boon one negro Boy named Sam, also the horse bridle and saddle cow and calf and sow and pigs (which he has had heretofore) to him and his heirs forever.
Item 3rd. I lend unto my daughter Martha Boon one negro boy named Anthony also the sum of eighteen dollars in cash all of which I lend unto her during her life and then to be equally divided  between all her children then living to them and their heirs forever.
Item 4th. I give and bequeath unto my son Edwin Boon the tract of land that I purchased of Benjamin Ware, one horse, cow and calf, sow and pigs, one bed and furniture also one negro girl named Penny, all of which I give unto him and his heirs forever.
Item 5th. I [?] unto my daughter Phereby[?] Daughters one bed and furniture, one cow and calf, one sow and pigs, also one negro woman named Olive [?] and her increase, all of which I lend unto her during her life then to be equally divided between all of her children, to them and their heirs forever.
Item 6th. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Temperance Revele one bed and furniture, one cow and calf also one negro woman named Phoebe, and increase also a negro child named Taleca [?] to her and her heirs for ever.
Item 7th I give and bequeath unto my daughter Lucy Boon one bed and furniture, one cow and calf also one negro boy named Frank to her and his [?] heirs forever.
Item 8th. I give and bequeath unto my son Jesse Boon the tract of land that I bought of Isaac Parker and [??] B. Wheeler one bed and furniture also one negro boy named Henry to him and his heirs for ever.
Item 9th. I give and bequeath unto my son Benford [?] Boon all of the tract of land that I purchased of Britton Lassiter, one negro boy by name of Isaac to him and his heirs forever.
Item 10th. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Boon one negro girl named Mariah, also the sum of forty dollars in each to her and her heirs for ever.
Item 11th. I give and bequeath unto my son Willis Boon one negro man named Aston, also the tract of land that I now live on (viz) the part that I bought of Arthur Griffin which land I give him after his mother's death, also the tract of land that I purchased of Edward Cleary[Clears?] to him and his heirs forever. 
Item 12th. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Anna Boon one negro man named Ecuses [?] to her and her heirs for ever.
Item 13th. It is also my desire that all the residue of my estate of whatever kind to be sold and after paying all of my just debts to be equally divided between my wife and all of my children.
Item 14th. I do nominate and appoint William Boon and Edmund Jacobs sole executors to this my last will and testament and hereby revoking all other wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand affixed my seal this the 28th day of March in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one.

I transcribed as closely as I could, and therefore ended up with several spellings of what I think is the same son .... William = Willie = Willis. Weatherall-96 20:20, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
