This is the last Will and Testament of me John
Allford of Sutton in the County of Lancaster Yeoman made published and
declared this nineteenth day of September in the Year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred & sixteen in manner following that is to say First
I order & direct all my just debts Funeral Expences the Charge of Proving
this my Will and Ten Pounds to each of my Executors hereinafter named
to be paid & discharged by my said Executors out of my Personal Estate and

Effects as soon as conveniently may be after my decease & after Payment
thereof I do give & bequeath all the Residue & Remainder of my
Personal Estate & Effects together with my half Share of the Leasehold
House in Paradise Street Liverpool at present occupied by Mr. Holt as
a Glass Shop unto my said Executors upon Trust that they my said Ex'ors
shall & will pay of cause to be paid to my Brothers & Sisters each an equal
Share of my Personal Property only & that my Sister Elizabeth Bird's Receipt
for her Share shall be a sufficient discharge to my said Ex'ors & it is my
further Will that Miss Elizabeth Ellam shall have my said half Share of
the aforesaid Leasehold Premises in Paradise Street Liverpool in Consideration
of her paying to my said Ex'ors the Sum of Two hundred Pounds within the
Space of Six Calendar Months after my decease & also the further Sum of
Two hundred & twenty pounds to be paid by the said Miss Elizabeth Ellam
to Mr. William Norris Mortgagee of the aforesaid Leasehold Premises in
Paradise Street Liverpool And it is also my Will that if the said Miss Elizabeth
Ellam shall object to pay the two aforesaid mentioned Sums namely Two
hundred pounds within the Space of Six Months as above specified to my
said Executors upon Trust & Two hundred & twenty pounds to the said Mr.
William Norris Mortgagee of the said Leasehold Premises aforesaid then
my said Executors shall sell or dispose of my said half Share of the aforesaid
Leasehold House in Paradise Street Liverpool for the benefit of my
Sister Eleanor Thomas as the benefit how'er(?) arising from the aforesaid
Leasehold Premises in Paradise Street Liverpool shall be for my said Sister
Eleanor Thomas And it is my Will that my said Executors shall not be
answerable or accountable for any more of my said Personal Estate & Effects
or any other Property whatsoever or wheresoever than shall actually come to
their respective Hands & it is my Will that my said Executors shall retain
from & out of my said Property a sufficient recompence for their Trouble in
the Execution of this my Will & I do nominate & appoint William Foster
Senior of Sutton aforesaid & John Brotherton of Sutton aforesaid in the said County Agents Executors hereof In Witness whereof I the said John
Allford have hereto set my Hand & Seal the day & Year first before written

Probate
Proved at London 15th March 1817 before the Judge by the Oaths of
William Foster & John Brotherton the Ex'ors to whom Administration was
granted being first sworn by Com'on duly to administer.
