This is a transcription of the register office copy of the will of John Norwood of Attwood, Buckinghamshire . The will was proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on 8 May 1587

of Attwoode in the county of Buck. gent sick in bodye and in perfect remembrannce thanks
be given to Almighty god Doe make my last will and testament in manner and
forme following vizt
First I bequeathe my sowle to Thalmighty god trusting onely to be
saved by Jesus Christ my Redemer My bodye to be buryed at the discrec[i]on of my executors
in the parrishe churche of Attwoode
Item I give and will that Anne Norwoode my wyffe shall

have all my interest of my Lands tenements and hereditaments in Attwoode and Hardmeade with all
the corne and grayne nowe being or growing uppon the same with all ymplements and furniture
of my house Excepting twoe trotting helding vizt the browne baye comonly called Longe and the
little sorrell whiche I will shalbe sould towards the payment of my Debts and Legacies/ And
also tenne oxen lykewise to be soulde for the payment of my aforesaid Debts and Legacies/ All
whiche my interest of goods cattells and Lands I will my said wyffe shall have and enioye
until my sonne Terringham shall attayne the age of one and twenty yeares yf so longe
shall live/ And then my minde is that my said sonne shall enioye them towrads the bringing upp
of my three sonnes Teringham Norwoode, Edmund Norwoode and Thomas Norwoode And if
if fortune my said wyffe shall marrye Then I will that all the stock of cattal and ymplements
of my house after the decease of Anne Norwoode my wyffe shall remayne unto my heires
whereof I will that there be a true Inventary made within six week after my decease and like
order be taken with my cattell

small tenement tr cottage with the apputenances thereto belonging in Willransteed

duely performed and my Debtes paid/ The residue of my goods not disposed I give and
bequeath to Thomas Norwood my father and Anne Norwood my wyffe whome I doe
ordayne and make my ioynte and severall executors to this my Last will and Testament
I also constitute and appointe my wellbeloved in Christ Thomas Teringham Esquyer
thelder and Thomas Catesby of Hardmeade in the county of Bucks gent overseer of
this my Last will and testament/ By me John Norwood In the presence of me Thomas
