John Pincock wrote his will on 31 August 1740 and administration was granted on 15 September 1740 at London, Prerogative Court of Canterbury.[1][2]

This is the last Will and Testam[ent]
of me John Pincock of Spittle Square in the County of Midd[lese]x
weaver as follows that is to say after the payment of all my
just debts and Funeral Charges which I desire^maybe in the first place
[deleted] fully paid and satisfied I give and bequeath unto
my son Allen Pincock the Messuage or Tenement wherein I now
live known by the name or sign of the Crown in Spittle Square
aforesaid together with the Warehouses and other Buildings.
thereto belonging with all Improvements and Appurtenances to
the same belonging To hold to my said son his Executors Adm[inistrato]rs
and Assigns for and during the rest residue and remainder
of the Term to come in the Lease ^to me granted by William Tillard Esqr
under which I hold the same subject nevertheless to the paym[en]t
of the Rent and performance of the Covenants in and by the said
Lease reserved and to be performed on the Tenants part Also I
give and bequeath unto my Son Allen Pincock the sume of Two
Thousand pounds and to my Daughter Agnes Pincock the sume
of Two Thousand pounds and to my Daughter Elizabeth Pincock
the sume of Eighteen hundred pounds and to my Daughter
Tryphena Pincock the sume of Eighteen hundred pounds
And do direct that the Several Legacys herein before and after
given to my said Son shall be paid to him on his attaining his
Age of Twenty one years and that the Several Legacies hereby

given to my said Daughters respectively shall be paid to them as
they respectively attain their age of 21 years or Marriage provided
such marriage be with the consent of my Executors hereafter
named or the Survivor of them and I will and direct that in
case any of my aforesaid Children shall happen to dye before
his her or their Legacy or Legacys shall happen to become
payable as aforesaid that then the Legacy or Legacies of him
her or them so dying shall goe to and be equally ^paid and divided
amongst the Survivors or Survivor of them my said Children
and my will and desire further is that untill the Legacys
hereby given to my said Children shall become payable as
aforesaid that the same shall be invested in some or one of
the Publick Government Funds or Securities and that the
Yearly Interest and Proceed thereof or somuch thereof as my
said Executors shall think convenient shall be applyed by
them for the respective maintenance and Education of my
said Children And that my said Executors shall also out of the
Legacies hereby given to my said Son and the yearly Interest
and profits thereof pay and bestow such sum as they may
Indue Convenient for the placeing out my said Son apprentice
Clerk or otherwise to any Trade or Business Also I give and
bequeath to my Cousin Elijah Cobham of Liverpool in the County
of Lancash[ire] the sum of Forty pounds Also I give and bequeath
to my housekeeper Mrs [blank] Watt the sum of six pounds to
buy her Mourning Also I give and bequeath unto my good
Friends Jno Morris of Bishopsgate Street London Threadman
and John van Rixtel of London Merchant my Executors
hereinafter appointed the sum of Seventy pounds each for
their care and trouble in the Execution of this my will
But if either of them shall beglect to prove the same then the
Legacy hereby given to such one or both of them so neglecting
to prove my said will shall not be payable and I do hereby
appoint the said John Morris and John Van Rixtell Guardians
of my said Children during their respective Minoritys Also
all the rest and residue of my Estate of what nature or
kind soever the same may be I give devise and bequeath
unto my said Son Allen Pincock his heirs Executors
Administrators and assignes for ever and Lastly I doe
hereby constitute and appoint the said John Morris
and Jno Van Rixtell Executors of this my will and I do
hereby revoke all former and other wills by me heretofore
made In Witness whereof the said Jno Pincock hath to this
his Will contained in two Sheets of paper affixed together
set his hand to the bottom of this last sheet this Thirty first day
of August in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven
hundred and Forty - John Pincock - Signed Sealed published
and declared by the said John Pincock as and for his last Will
and Testament in the presence of us who have Subscribed
our names as Witnesses hereto in the presence of the said
Testator - Peter Booth James Collins./.

This Will was proved at London before the Worshipfull
Edward Kinaston Doctor of Laws Surrogate to the Right
Worshipfull John Bettesworth also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper
or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully
constituted the fifteenth day of September in the year of Our Lord
One Thousand Seven hundred and Forty by the Oaths of John
Morris and John Van Rixtell the Executors named in the said Will
To whom Administration was Granted of all and Singular the Goods
Chattels and Credits of the said deceased being first Sworn duly to
Administer the same./. Exd
